A Major Change for the Channel (Patreon)

I alluded to this change back in December as being a possibility in the coming year, and the time has come for me to announce it as a certainty. The sad fact is that SCP content is no longer as popular as it was even two or three years ago. I can't possibly begin to speculate as to why that is, as I personally think the writing on the wiki has been getting better and better, but the fact remains. Looking at month over month statistics for practically any youtube channel devoted to SCP content shows a steady downward slide over the last couple years. 

I don't like to chase trends, and normally I'm not really bothered by numbers fluctuating, but the time has come where I can't really ignore it and I have to move on. That being said, I'll still be doing SCP content for a while at the very least, it'll just drop down from once a week to once every other week. The polls will still continue on a bi-weekly basis. Maybe SCP content will experience a resurgence, or maybe I'll drop it off completely, it's too early to say.

The other weeks that don't feature an SCP video will instead feature videos covering Warhammer 40k lore. I've already done a small number of videos on the topic, but dedicating more time to it will really allow me to expand on that. I think it's a rising interest, and I personally enjoy it, so I'm hoping it's a win-win. I'll be bridging the gap between my two series with a video I hope to release on April 1st titled "Can the SCP Foundation Take on the 40k Universe?" I'll be making a public announcement of the change sometime next week, and it'll most likely go into effect in April.

I know this is a pretty big change, and most of my career has been built on SCP, so I understand if people wish to move their patreon support elsewhere. As I said though, the sad fact is that my career is directly declining now because of SCP, so it's time to change.
