{Update} The Doomed Realms + Other Changes (Patreon)

Brothers and Sisters,

I hope you all had a great 4th of July holiday! I spent a good chunk of my break thinking all about our church, the things I think are going well, and the changes I'd like to make.

Here's a quick summary of the changes I discuss in the video:

- Scrolls of Revelation are changing from 1d12 lists to 3d6 lists that can build off each other in unique and interesting ways. For example, a scroll on assassins might include 1d6 assassins, 1d6 people who hired the assassins, and 1d6 assassination methods. These scrolls will also be going out every M/W/F.

- All of the other scrolls {locality/ruin/delving/etc} are being combined into the Scrolls of Doomed Realms which are the scrolls that will be used to create our Church of Doom campaign settings. They will be almost identical in the content they provide, but with the added benefit of being part of a unified setting that new or experienced GMs can use to kickstart their next campaign. They will also be going out every M/W/F.

- The Doomed Realms will not be some massive continent map or vast region with various kingdoms and a complex history. Instead, the Doomed Realms is going to be a collection of unique regions that can be used independtly or combined into a larger setting. One Doomed Realm might be a burning desert with devil cowboys while the next is a frozen jungle with arctic dinosaurs. Your votes will determine the theme of each realm as well as the key locations I add to them!

And here are some other changes I didn't mention:

- The Art Crypts that Fanatics and Zealots get access to will be transition over to a google drive folder. Now, rather than sifting through a bunch of zipped folders, you'll be able to jump into the drive and search through all of the character/monster/scene/item/etc art files I use in my scrolls and videos.

- Each Doomed Realm and all of its scrolls will be shared here as PDFs as well as get uploaded into a Google Doc that Fanatics/Zealots can access and make copies of. That way you can add to or change any details you want from the scrolls as you run your own campaigns if you don't want to go strictly off the PDF.

I'm making these changes for 2 reasons:

First, I've been exhausting myself trying to put out so much content. Between the long format videos, tiktoks/reels/shorts, and 2 daily scrolls I was barely able to stay on top of it all. Not only was this mentally draining, but it also meant I had 0 time to work on other areas of the Church like live streams, Kickstarters, or responding to your messages and comments. By going to a M/W/F release schedule I'll have Tu and Th to make sure I'm staying on top of everything.

Second, I want this to become more of a community. Despite our growing size, I feel like I don't really know any of you or have very personal interactions. My plan to fix that is to begin live streaming the creation of the Scrolls of Doomed Realms on YouTube! Not only will this allow me to show my creative process, but it will also give us an opportunity to talk in the chat and brainstorm ideas together.
