☠️ Session 7 Recap for Tomb of Annihilation ☠️

🏝 As they party slept on the shores of the Garden of Bones, they were attacked by a devilish raptor who cut through the party with ease. As it ripped into the throat of Bayard [tiefling warlock] it said in a voice similar to his own, "We will feast on them soon." Bayard then woke from his nightmare in a cold sweat to see his party unharmed.

🕷 The adventures braved the Garden of Bones named after the Spider Skull Goblins who hang the skulls and bones of their kills from the jungle canopy in thick webs. As they marched, they heard cries for help coming from Biba [gnome druid] who'd gotten himself caught in a web while searching for an herbal cure to the Death Curse. As they tried to cut him down, they were ambushed by Spider Skull Goblins!

🐒 The party took up shelter for the night in an abandoned temple to Nibiri, the four-armed ape god of the moon. As they sat around the fire, a colossal spider slowly emerged from the trees and scuttled towards the party. With some lucky Stealth checks, the party hid within the temple as the giant spider climbed over the temple and deeper into the jungle in search of its next meal.

🗼At last the heroes arrived at the old watchtower where they were told a Tooth of Acerak [lich cultist] was residing. As they climbed the nearly 300-foot spire of rock, a hoard of zombies swarmed the base of the tower eager to eat any unlucky soul that fell to their certain death. Thankfully the party was able to safely reach the top of the spire with only a few close calls and some spent Inspiration dice!

💀 Built atop the rock spire was an ancient watchtower with 3 undead pterodactyls perched along its walls. After seeing brief movement inside the tower, the party began their approach to confront the tooth of Acerak and see what they can learn about this ongoing Death Curse...
