Hey guys, just dropping in for a quick update. Now that all 16 pages have been fully colored & adjusted, I've been moving back to working on the cover art. The previous iteration was based on the Coppertone Girl ads, you can look up Google for what it looks like.

The tricky thing about comic covers is that not only should it surmise the entirety of your comic in a single image, but it has the double function of selling your product. The comic cover is essentially your product packaging and a lot needs to be said within very limited parameters.

The issue I had with the original cover, while supposedly funny initially, really lacked impact both visually and conceptually. It was kinda lame in terms of relevance to what the premise of this issue was about.

Coming back from my Japan trip, a new story title struck me, which I'll be saving till the release of the book. I personally think it's fittingly brilliant, and with that, I decided to revise the imagery to suit the new title.

The new version on the right has much more motion and energy in it. Moreover, the scene helps hint to readers what they might expect from the dynamic between the two characters. The low angle shot makes for a tastier view and gives people a better sense of the character's mass and volume.

Working on the comic cover will be my main focus this week, after which I'll be putting on my writer's hat again to fill in dialogues and such.

The public version will be available for preorder around the same time as the Patreon launch, but will only be released later in March and sold at $18. If you're wanting the Patreon ebook, please kindly remember to change your subscription to $15.
