Mass-todon Migration

Independent content creators have historically been at the mercy of content platforms, with sudden policy changes causing upheaval to all those affected. More often than not these tend to involve absolutely poor choices over and over again. Even with the dust settled, we all know that things will never be the same again when creator communities have been severely disrupted.

Recent events like the train wreck in slow-motion or the ego-fueled trash fire, continue to force content creators to evolve their strategies and relocate to where their potential audiences might be. 

While all this instability online is unfolding, I'm still holding a foot down on Twitter and updating there as scheduled, although increasingly with each fevered tweet from a CEO gone mad, the general inclination now would be to place my other foot over at Mastodon, listed below where you may find my future operations:

I'll definitely need more time to figure my way around especially since each instance has their own house rules, plus the platform does need a little getting used to.

Career & Collaborations

The puppeteering job didn’t work out as I’d hoped, with the 12-hour full shifts being less than desirable - I constantly felt like I was dragged along by a schedule I had no control over, with little to no energy left for my own projects and proper rest.

Moving forward, I’m currently in discussions with another furry artist to produce a 1-minute video promo animation for my Patreon front page. This will primarily be used as a feasibility test for potential future options, in addition to serving as an opportunity to collaborate with more creators.

The good news is that earlier this year, 2 of our Patreon supporters have already lent their voices for the project - of whom I'll reveal in the credits once more aspects of the project crystallize. As for now, preproduction works like character reference sheets, storyboards and animatics are expected to take place between Dec 2022 & Jan 2023.

Naturally, whatever work is involved in this side animation project will only be featured here on Patreon, with exclusive behind-the-scenes content available to all supporters. If all goes well, I’ll have more updates to share with everyone next year.

As for now, I'll be using the remaining 2 weeks of Nov 2022 to recalibrate myself and reassess what my goals and options might be. In the meanwhile, rest assured that things here on Patreon will continue to be posted as per normal. Thank you again for your patience and support!
