Fairer Reviews & Full Refunds (Patreon)

Dear Readers,

It saddens me to receive feedback such as the one pictured above. I have tried my best on my product sites and marketing efforts to advertise everything as it is, but it is not enough for some.

Reviews like this are unfair, entitled and lack empathy for creators. What made it even more disappointing is that the user is a Patreon “supporter” who not only enjoyed the heavily discounted price that patrons were offered (they used the discount code), but seems completely tone deaf to the whole process, indifferent to what I’ve personally been dealing with.

Sketches are what they are: “undone”. I spent the whole of yesterday checking to see if I had inadvertently mislabeled something instead of working on my future projects. This sense of entitlement and demeanor that was perhaps aimed at dragging my business (and me) down was extended in the above "review" on my Gumroad.

Full Refund Made

While it is completely beyond my ability to control or govern such bad actors, I have since refunded the customer the full amount of US$5.00 (promotional price offereed to patrons).

As mentioned before in my earlier project pitches, supporters who feel that they are not satisfied with my content and services, they are welcome to leave. If any customer or reader are not satisfied with the product(s) purchased, please be civil and feel free to ask for a full refund.

No creator should tolerate such behavior, and it is unfortunate that I have had to make this post. Nevertheless, I will be taking additional steps and measures so that we can all continue to enjoy what we do here.
