Hey, gang!! So a bit of news this week with this update:

Yoko has to take an indefinite hiatus from colors while she takes care of some IRL stuff - like me, she's been dealing with a lot, but while I am kind of getting back to a place where I can consistently work on pages again, she's still working on some things.

So, until she gets back, we're going to be updating in Black & White. For those of you who like seeing pages in B&W, I guess this is good news for you?!
To preserve the power of the $3 Inks tier, I'm going to keep the grey ground level and the RAIN Layer "on" for these HIRES posts; those on the Inking Tier are going to get copies of each page PURELY in black and white, without added values, and without the rain layer, so they'll look a little cleaner and tidier.

But yeah, obviously, these scenes aren't really... fun to come with and produce, and I want to muscle through this Semi-Dark Night of the Soul and get back to the fun healing journey we've established Thistle is on, in Chapter 9.

Glad to be seeing pages again! I just got my Kickstarter book too, it's a good time for DotL!

Best wishes for Yoko, and I'm glad she's taking the time she needs to take care of herself! Thanks for keeping us updated, as always. Also, my goodness, we still don't really even know who this woman IS and she still manages to get more horrifying each time she shows up. Those verbal claws are sunk in deep.

Brent! Hugs!

Anne Welborn

Nasty nasty verbal abuse, - poor Thistle.

Jack Newbill

Oh, no! Take things easy, Meg, and please pass our bestest wishes on to Yoko.

I think you've got the right idea in the sense of colouring book style, no-frills being it's own entity from the after-effects page. Hard to do anything else other than value-add like a sketch or paneling stage. You've both had rough goes at it this year and I'm glad this is something that has always been taken at needed pace. As for the page, you're nailing it with Gwendolyn's emotional turnarounds in the shards. Maybe...not...fun. But, congratulations! They're...awful!
