Whoa! It's the 4th? When did that happen?

I've been sitting on this bad boy (girl) for awhile now - I'm very excited that you guys get to see this at its original size and in all its glory. This took a long time but every second of it was really fun. 

Man, Gwendolyn seriously needs to get on the scene already, but we won't see her until the Book 1 Epilogue. Blergh.

Wow. I definitely cannot "read" her. On the one hand, she's got a snooty upper class vibe. A "The poor need food? Well they should have thought of that before they became poor, now shouldn't they have?" .... on the other hand she also could have the composure of one who is the head of a powerful monster hunting society with the arsenal to take on the government if they wanted to, but choose to hunt monsters instead. Or she could be totally the head of a major corporation with serious shady dealings (Mom from Futurama, but less old). Either way, she definitely has a "there's something up about her" kind of feel, for me.

My CRAZY theory thought was immediately that she is Thistle - before "that thing". At the least, she is/was heavily involved with what happened to her. OR she is her mother...
