(another) First contact (Patreon)

Akari is making her way across the windy, desolate terrain of an faraway world, although she's protected from the toxic atmosphere and harsh condition in the confines of her spacesuit.  Then, a large craft of unknown origin overflys her, then lands directly ahead of her path.

Ever so curiously, she walks up to the ship;  as she does so, a hatch from the belly of the craft slides open, and a metal ramp slowly extends from the interior of the vessel.  Akari waits as the ramp finally connects with the barren surface of the planet.  After several moments, an obviously humanoid figure emerges, walking towards her with an even expression.

Akari is somewhat taken aback by the tall, well-muscled alien, but she manages to keep her composure.  The alien stops a meter away from her, then gives a hint of a smile.  Trying to maintain a neutral expression, she raises a hand in greeting...
