April 2021 Update 3 (Patreon)

Well, it's Wednesday - wrapped up a Pixiv request/commission earlier tonight, and I'll begin to work on the next of four commissions I have in the pipeline.  Assuming I don't fall into another slump, I'm hoping to have this next one done and in the Dropbox tomorrow at the earliest.

Once these commissions are completed, I'm planning on working on the old illustrations that people voted for updating on Pixiv and Twitter, and after that - I don't really know.  Maybe I'll make it a monthly thing?  

Moving on, I'll definitely have commissions up for May, but probably not as many slots available as I had for this month.  

Finally, it's come to my attention from several colleagues of mine that Patreon announced a 'Creator Policy Engagement Program' as of today;  what this means exactly I'm not entirely sure, as the blog entry describing it looks like it was written by an attorney or upper-management or someone working in PR (if you're a patron of mine that happens to be in PR, upper management or an attorney, no offense intended), but there was one bit that made me raise an eyebrow, specifically:

18+ Creations (Mature Themes): We want to give creators  greater clarity around works we view as containing mature themes for  the purposes of being labeled “Patron-only,” versus works that can be  made available to all audiences. This proposed update would also clarify  that non-explicit back nudity is allowed, along with certain  non-sexualized nudity in the form of classical artwork and health  education.

Suffice to say, since this Patreon focuses on 18+ works, I'm looking at this with some concern/skepticism - but if something negative results from this new policy, especially if it comes down to having bid Patreon farewell (with a single-finger salute), none of my works are in any real danger, as my full illustrations and short stories are secure in Dropbox;  also, I also have a Pixiv FANBOX as well as a Gumroad page - so if worse comes to worst, there are alternatives...
