So, my 3090 came in yesterday;  Although still feeling the hurt financially from this thing, my enthusiasm for its potential began to grow as soon as I opened up the box...

Installation was pretty straightforward (although I was more than a bit nervous - never held a PC component that cost about as much as my first car before and REALLY didn't want to fuck it up...), although it took up quite a bit of real estate in my full-size tower.  Powered up the PC with no issues, thankfully.

However, midway through installation, I realized I committed a rather egregious self-own/epic fail;  While fairly aware of this GPU's capabilities, I failed on some more basic research, such as what kind of connectors the damn thing has.  As shown here, the 3090FE has a single HDMI and three DisplayPort outputs.

Unfortunately, it does not have a DVI output, which means I cannot use my Wacom Cintiq 22HD Touch that I use for my illustrations.  However, there are DisplayPort-to-DVI converters out there, and I ordered one on Amazon - hopefully it should arrive tomorrow.

So, in the meantime, since I can't draw until said adapter gets here, I've been putting this card through its paces in other ways;  Although Nvidia and its partners' cards are mostly for miners and scalpers these days, they're apparently pretty good at the whole gaming thing, too (so I've heard)...🤷‍♂️

Pics above are two illustrations I was working on yesterday morning - with any luck I should be able to wrap things up with those as soon as the adapter arrives.

Finally, it's the beginning of the month, which means Dropbox passwords and links have changed;  I'll release them to patrons as payment for this month is confirmed.

May March be less eventful than Februrary...🤞
