CPU finally arrived this afternoon, and after a rather frustrating five hours of installing, uninstalling and reinstalling software and hardware, my desktop is once again operational and so far is performing better than ever.

Just need to work out some driver-related stuff with my Cintiq and I should be fully operational once again...
