Behind The Scenes: Chapter 2 (Patreon)

In Chapter Two of Housewaifu Simulator, the protagonist gets preggers. I thought it'd be interesting to post a quick picture of part of the process so you could get some insights into the graphics that go into the game. 

When I'm rendering the main character and enlarging her depending on the type of transformation, I'll often line up the character phases and make sure there's consistent growth as it should be, instead of big jumps. 

The protagonist is carrying twins... So she'll get big. There's 2 more phases past this, but I wanted them to stay a surprise. On the right is her "WG 6" sprite - which is canonically what the character will enter Chapter 2 at, followed by 3 / 5 of the render sizes for her pregnancy. 

You also can get an idea of some of the post-rendering touch ups that are done to make the game quality improve. The seam between her belly and legs are a mess, which I'd touch up... And belly buttons are always rendered wrong. I fix all of that manually post-render, so a lot of work goes into each image.

I've also been making some quality changes in the game - including adding events to Chapter 1. The biggest change is the addition of a stuffed render per size that occurs when the protagonist is past max fullness. She'll go straight to bed after that, saving clicks. I've also added some random events that add food to reduce the "grind." Chapter 2 has its own separate random events that make sense to the story.
