Hey Demi-Gods,

For the month of November, we have decided to fill this Bonus Content slot with the Pottermore Quizzes.

This was heavily requested throughout the community in our last post, in the comments section to all our Harry Potter reactions and has been flooded in our inbox.

We thought this would be a great way to wrap up our Harry Potter journey, and finally put all the speculation to rest; which house are we most suited to?

This won't be a goodbye, rather a 'see you soon' to our Harry Potter adventure!

So much love,

Spartan & Pudgey <3

As people are recommending additional material from the Harry Potter universe, I would like to add a couple of additional suggestions. I’m sure that people have probably told you about A Very Potter Musical and it’s sequel. These popular videos can be found on YouTube and are basically fan made parody plays. They were originally developed from a group of university students out of a drama class assignment. Because of their popularity, the group has gone on to create quite a few additional plays. Though many of those are not within the Harry Potter universe. I am also providing a link to a song about the entire Harry Potter journey that is well worth a listen. It is called the End of An Era by Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls: https://youtu.be/Ap-ZNCUndw0?si=LLvGk3S9pVbMt76G To give a little context to the song, the Harry Potter books came out when the internet was first becoming something that was used regularly in homes around the world. And this created a new way for fandoms to communicate and share information. While there has certainly been popular fandom‘s in the past, the internet gave rise to fan websites and easy ways to share fan theories, fan fiction, fan art and otherwise keep up on all the latest fan news. The book series was already a worldwide phenomenon, getting kids engaged in reading after there had been a long decline in reading as a regular form of entertainment for children. And the series found a large adult audience as well. I was one of those who became a fan of the series after purchasing it to read to my children. As the fandom grew Harry Potter conferences and conventions began to happen annually around the world. But one of the additional fandom activities that I found unique and interesting was the development of Harry Potter themed bands. These typically consisted of high school or college students who might have formed bands anyways because of their musical interests. But because of the Harry Potter phenomenon these fans were creating music based on their love of the series. The music become known as Wizard Wrock. They performed at Harry Potter conferences and put on concerts of their own. The link I provided above was for a song that was written by one of these bands while people were waiting for the final book to .be released. It is meant to capture how much the series meant to people who became involved in the story and the larger fandom over the years, especially as the final book would certainly wrap up a big part of that, especially for kids, who have grown up with the books and with Harry, Ron and Hermione. Since Spartan and Pudgy really enjoyed Professor Severus Snape, I’m going to provide another link to a Wizard Wrock song about him. There were actually quite a few songs that were written about Snape and his story. But this one, by a band called the Ministry of Magic is titled The Bravest Man I ever Knew. It’s from the perspective of Harry talking to his son Albus Severus. And I think the band did a pretty good job with this song: https://youtu.be/HMAlCknCQn4?si=ZoWUJtjpPUF7u9dU For one final example, here’s a very short song by a band called the Mudbloods about how much Harry hated his summer vacation, because while his fellow students were off enjoying themselves, he had to go back to the Dursleys. It is just fun, short and sweet. https://youtu.be/9nLY8MAfVI8?si=s8bYQJAVBrOUwzdZ There were literally hundreds of these songs from creative young people who loved the Harry Potter series. And I was always impressed with how creative and engaged a fandom can become. The songs were a little more geared towards people who read the books, as they sometimes referenced details that the movies had not included. I have since seen bands inspired by other fandoms. There are a couple of Game of Thrones inspired bands, including Danearys and the Targaryens, which is a punk band. But I have never seen anything like the scale of the music created for Harry Potter.
