Easter Break (Patreon)

Hey S&P Fam!

With our transition to full time happening, as well as having Australian Easter this weekend, and Greek easter the following, we have quite a busy week. So we've decided to take next week off from YouTube and we will return to normal schedule the week after.

Patreon will still have 1 GoT (5x8) and 1 ATLA (3x2) scheduled for mid next week for Super Soldier & Demi God Tiers and GoT (5x4) and ATLA (2x18) for Warrior tier. 

We appreciate everyone's support, Happy Easter, enjoy some chocolate haha and we'll see you guys soon

we have been quite transparent when taking time off. We have some uploads scheduled and we let you guys know as soon as we knew what we were doing. This is very much the building phase of the channel so there has been a lot of interruptions.... especially with have 2 jobs. This should all be taken care of in the future as we build the channel, get editors and have our systems down pat. It's very much been just trying to keep up with our schedule, rather than being ahead. Now that we are full time, this can change.

also people who put out 4 episodes a week usually charge around 12 to 15, they only charge 8. thats way less than their counterparts

there is no option to suspend for a week or we'd use it. Transitioning to full time so we can produce content long term entails a lot of behind the scene work. And yes we charge a monthly fee for a subscription that clearly states we will maintain early access to youtube and uncut reactions, which we fulfil. that said, we wish you all the best 👍🏼

These are the most transparent creators I have ever seen. Just a week ago everyone was praising them for consistently keeping us updated and seeking our thoughts on running this place. I get the disappoinment of having to wait a few more days but damn, some of y'all are being so grossly unfair.

Lol exactly. I subbed to someone last year who was dropping episodes every day, but that was because she was racing to finish before HOTD started. That was extremely lucky! In my experience, creators are considerably LESS consistent than S&P have been. I'm subbed to people who will release two episodes in a row, and then the third one in like 3 weeks - all without any warning. S&P put out 2-3 episodes a week, *consistently*. Ok, for one week, it's gonna be a single episode. And they warn us in advance. Cue: "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" Ridiculous.

I can guarantee you that a lot of these complaints are due to the fact that you left us hanging on one of the most anticipated episode of GOT. If you left us with Hardhome available, I’m pretty sure that all of us, if not most of us would’ve been content. It was heightened by that fact. Just bad timing, especially after you guys just had a recent vaca too.

I'm a little surprised that some are disappointed in the content output. I've also watched and been a Patron to a LOT of reactors and honestly most of them only uploaded 1 episode per week. Maybe they would be reacting to more shows at a time but it's rare for me to care about more than 1 show a channel is watching anyway. I'd love for some of these commenters to point me to the channels they're watching that upload more and can compare to the quality of these reactions (genuinely would love to find more). Maybe we just watched different people or something but I've been a Patron to plenty of channels that uploaded less frequently and had weaker reactions. I'll admit I was bummed last break you guys took (mainly because it happened right after I pledged) but I felt like it was made up for with more content upon return.

I’m telling you, most of these complaints wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Hardhome as the next episode. And as far as those other YouTube creators are concerned, most people are not Patreons, but instead wait for certain months to subscribe and watch it all at once. I did that with Blindwave. Once a week is not worth it if it’s only one show I’m interested in. But that’s the point. People subscribed thinking that they paid for consistent episodes of 2-3/week, not once a week.

I agree with your point about Hardhome, but where are you getting that most people wait to subscribe aside from your personal experience? I'm here because I'm too impatient to wait for Youtube and I feel like that's why most are here. If you or anyone else is capable of waiting for channels to upload most of a show before watching, why not just wait a bit longer for it all to be on Youtube?

I actually don’t mind the wait. I’m just defending those complaining and why they have the rights. As far as the waiting to subscribe, it’s happening a lot I bet, I’m pretty sure. Your have no logic. If I’m subscribed to a streaming service to watch a show, I know that there’s a schedule to the show and most likely at least 1 episode a week at the same time every week. So if I’m subscribing to a certain network to watch only 1 certain show, would I keep subscribing after that show is no longer producing episodes? No, right? Ok. A little bit offended that you would refer to season 5 and beyond as 'when it gets interesting' lol. But that's just because I love season 3 and 4 so much. Ofc as a show or channel goes on, it builds up steam and more people discover it so that's probably also something to consider. There are still lots of great moments in upcoming seasons though. The reactions and comments to the last two seasons are sure to be 'interesting.'

But that so many here believe so, explains A LOT. It's something I just realized. This doesn't mean we can't criticize! But knowing this reality affects how you approach complaints. That’s not true at all and you’re speaking from a position of privilege. With all the subscriptions and extraneous costs that people pay for across multiple platforms these days an additional 8.50-11$ is not insignificant. Especially when the output/value received is inconsistent. I see both sides of this debate but it’s ignorant to say the fee means nothing or couldn’t be spent elsewhere.
