Yes atleast watch Jurassic world 1. Its actually really good, in my opinion its better then Jurassic park 2 and 3.

People need to learn to stop preempting the reactors reactions. Let them experience things on their own and form their own opinion. Also the rest of the movies are natural progressions and all in all must see's.

You guys...Site B is also the setting of Jurassic Park 2. We haven't been on the original island since the first movie. 😅

The raptors at the end ran away because of the helicopters. Grant using the resonating chamber to call for help confused them enough so they didn't attack. But the reason they ran was because of the helicopter sounds.

First and foremost, I will never forgive them for killing the Rex. I get that their idea was too have an even scarier dino than the Rex and what a better way than to have it be able to kill the dinosaur that everyone feared in the first two. But to me, it didn't make a difference. It was still just a big scary animal that was trying to eat them. They spent so much time in the first two building up the Rex as the big bad and to throw it away so fast like that just felt bad imo. There are a few good things about this movie that I really enjoy. The scene where they are trying to take off again and Cooper gets eaten is great. I thought using that phone ringtone to announce that the Spino was back was fantastic (whether its realistic or not, no idea and don't really care haha) though the Spino just sitting out in the open staring is a bit funny like y'all said. The scene with Eric and Allan talking about his books and Allan as per usual hating on Malcom is great haha Love the scene with Mrs Kirby and the raptor in the water tube, its a good jump. Like the call back to 2 with giving back the eggs like they gave back the baby rex, though I just know the raptors, just like the Rex parents, would have killed them after lol There's a bunch of things I don't really like in this movie. Like why is the Spino following them so much. In the first movie, that really isn't the case with the Rex. When the Rex showed up (minus the end which I still get a laugh at but its a great scene regardless so I don't care), it made sense. The Rex following the party in 2 also makes sense due to the blood on her jacket being the babies blood. There's no reason outside of just for the sake of it for the Spino to keep running into them. I liked the idea of them exploring a velociraptors larger vocal range just didn't care for how they did it. Felt weird I guess or just looked bad. Allan using the resonance chamber in that scene was a good call back, I just wish they had a couple more scenes with maybe Allan playing with it a bit instead of him just being a natural lmao. And it is kinda confusing how that even worked out for them. My only thought is maybe it confused the raptors long enough for them to get spooked by the helicopters? Lastly, the end scene with THAT much military showing up?? Hellll nah lol it makes me laugh every time and the first time I was just like what the actual fuck lmao I mean Ellie's husband got the military to send THREE warships for, as far as Ellie knew, ONE person? Nah lol If it had been just like a helicopter or two, I could definitely be onboard with that as it ties with how every Jurassic Park movie ends. All in all, the first cannot be topped, I very much enjoy the second, and the third is okay. It's a little too jokey (though separately, I found Mrs Kirby to be very funny lol), a bit cringe at times, and just a tad bizarre. Oh and the most important thing: HOW COULD YOU KILL OUR REX! Thank god it wasn't Rexy

I was surprised I liked this movie at all, though I thought there were some cringe and unrealistic moments. TBF the whole movie is fiction so unrealistic. The actress who played Mrs Kirby (Tia Leoni) had some really stupid lines and running off straight into the interior of the island where that is the most likely place for the majority of the predators to be was just plain stupid. I mention the actress because she usually plays pretty intelligent women in good roles so it seemed strange watching her act so out of touch. The other predator that looked almost exactly like The T Rex was just lame. The phone that ended up in the Dino manure and still working, right. Not. I did like the adventure more in this mov8e than the 2nd one but really missed Ian. I am biased towards Jeff Goldblum, but he probably said hell no to a 3rd movie. I did like seeing more dinosaurs and the discovery about the velosiraptors communication system was more advanced was interesting. Anyway, it was a movie I didn't have to concentrate as much on which was fine for a Friday night.

I love this movie, I had all three movies on VHS as a kid which deffo makes me biased. Still though, I feel like the third movie gets a bad wrap. I still prefer this one and the second over any of the new movies, by a long shot.

Honestly shocks me how anyone can rate this higher than JP2. The cast is absolutely insufferable and stupid. JP2 has its flaws, but the writing and character development was much more flushed out, intelligent, and interesting. I wish the Kirby's died in the opening scene lol

To be honest... despite some weaker moments from the sequels, as well as the new trilogy, they're still fun movies to watch at least once. Dinos are cool and even though there are cheesy moments it can still be a lot of fun if you just accept it for what it is and enjoy the ride. The other dinosaur is actually quite different from a t-rex in numerous ways, although the movie did not do a good job conveying this. The spinosaurus. Its the largest known carnivorous dinosaur, and only thing that could reliably tackle a t-rex, so I get what they were going for there, but I do think they could have utilized it better. I preferred it to just do more t-rexes in the sceond film, but I think the second and third films generally have that problem of relying too much on the same predators, I enjoy the raptors but they had quite a bit of focus in all 3 films when they could have had some other neat predators and also some more herbivorous dinosaur moments in the third film. Those satellite phones are actually insanely durable to immense pressure, heat, environmental effects etc, as they are designed to survive and remain functioning in extreme conditions, and even predators with very strong stomach acid and digestive systems often pass products that their bodies cant properly digest, there have in fact been cases where these types of phones have survived some really crazy things and remained operable if you do some googling, but I agree that I think there could have been a better way to handle that as well. Not trying to nitpick your opinion to be clear, the movie definitely has lots of flaws, just wanted to acknowledge those two points.

Jurassic World's really cool cause you get to experience see the park up and running! I think you'll like it more. The vibe is a bit different, more grand/epic and modern - tense, fun and more action in general. AT LEAST watch the first one.

Jurassic World is a really good film and I think you should watch the whole 3 films in the series as you get Ellie, Malcom and Dr grant in the 3rd Jurassic world film which completes the whole world of Jurassic park and Jurassic world (plus I think you both will love the Velociraptor named Blue!)
