Full Length Reaction Guide
We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

  • Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

  • Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

  • HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

  • Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

  • Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

Thank you so much for watching the real ending. Great reaction to this series, and as a veteran, you showed great respect as well.

This is definitely all real footage. It’s both a blessing and a horror, but we (the collective “we”) have Insane amounts of footage from WWII. It had just become easier to access film and cameras at the time. Some of my favorite documentaries on Netflix are WWII documentaries, and they only use footage from the war.

Thanks for watching this. Very humbing to see how much these young men gave it their all. Those two men with the last name of Webb died on the same day. Such beautiful stories from such a horrible time. I love how their friendships lasted for so many years. The bonds they formed by having to be with each other in the most dire circumstances and lean on each other to stay alive at times. I am going to remember how some of these men died when they were just 19 the next time I think of how difficult life can be at times. Every day I wake up above ground is a blessing.

All the video footage you saw in this was real. The U.S. had a whole division of photographers to just document the war and a lot of them were Hollywood camera men and they were assigned to follow all the different groups and video the war. The Allies captured all of the German videos, photos, etc. So you were seeing actual footage and also a lot of footage of Easy Company guys. I can recognize a lot of them in the videos. There are a ton of books that the guys wrote, including Winters and Wild Bill and Babe. Malarky also wrote a book. All of these books had pictures in them also. If you google any of the names, you will see a ton of things on the internet including pictures of them.

To volunteer to fight and possibly die for your country is already such a tremendously commendable act, but to even do it for someone else's country? _o_ Sure, they mentioned that "we are at war with Japan", but still, mad respect for these people.

Spartan and Pudgey, thank you very much for deciding to watch this part of the series. Great commentary on the subject matter as usual. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Loved both of your thoughts at the end.

There is something almost science fiction like to see the old war footage and even the interviews now because it almost feels like time travel. It's like moments frozen in time where where you get a first hand glimpse at history. As shocking as it is to see WWII footage it is even crazier or more incredible seeing WWI footage. Seeing the real life interviews of Easy Company hits so much harder for me now than it did the first few time I watched the series. Especially since on July 3rd of 2022 Bradford Freeman's passing at age 97 meant there were no longer any living members & heroes of Easy Company left. I know some people object to how some footage has been colorized but for me I think seeing it makes more real & it hits different. I think the sacrifices & significance of war as well as the plight of war's cost can be chalked up to simply being part of history when things are black & white. In color &/or when hearing stories from the actual participants there is a greater connection & lesson to be found. I think when events are sanitized or treated almost clinically with an absence of humanity it's easier to ignore suffering & the lessons history tries to show us to avoid it's future rhyming. Since as Mark Twain said "History doesn't repeat itself but it often rhymes".

Thank you so much for this guys and for doing it. I had a very stressful day and have been looking forward to experiencing this you at the end of the day. I think I have seen this documentary at least 20 times, but I still cry so hard. There is a lot of other great stuff on YouTube and the actors and the children of the real men still meet, do interviews etc. Thanks so much, you are great ❤️ So glad you got to see this, it has been incredible to see the journey with you! ❤️
