Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

  • Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

  • Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

  • HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

  • Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

One of the best episodes in the show so far imo and yea Butcher really went full on comic Butcher and The fact that Hughie got assaulted many times this season and the writers made him have to apologise to Annie? Just think if the roles were reversed, Annie would never have to apologise like there is no two sides to this , Hughie did nothing wrong but yea Butcher and Homelander have always been 2 sides of the same coin with Butcher always having slightly more morals but now I think Butcher is close to as Ruthless as Homelander at this point by giving into his dark side bc killing Neuman like that was pretty messed up lol but I do understand why he snapped considering what Ryan just did. Can’t wait for Homelander vs Butcher.

You pretty much summed up my thoughts as well. I enjoyed the finale, but some of the big events didn't hit as hard because it felt rushed. I thought the selfies throughout the season were going to lead to more consequences, but it kind of just resulted in Annie being gone for 20 min of onscreen time. I was hoping that Sage was going to monologue and let us know everything she did because it kind of felt like she got lucky that it worked out. Even the really big moments like Kimiko speaking and Annie getting her powers back were shoved into the epilogue montage. I sound negative, but I did enjoy the season overall, I just thought it could have been amazing. I do agree, however, that I am now hyped up for S5 and how Gen V S2 will tie into The Boys!

I am fairly certain the following theory will end up wrong but...I think Stan Edgar might actually have knowledge or a weapon capable of killing Homelander. I have always believed Stan had to possess Homelander "Kryptonite" in order to talk to him the way he always did. Maybe it was just because Homelander's nature is all about seeking approval. Now I know skeptics will point out that when Stan Edgar was at his property after he was freed he would have mentioned he knew of a way to kill Homelander during the virus discussions. However I dont think that serves as proof he doesn't have a way to kill Homelander. What I mean is when you consider the history that The Boys have with Stan they showed they couldn't be trusted to honor deals. For example when Butcher made a deal for the saftey of Becca & Ryan he didn't hold up his end. Then when you consider Neumann is who sent Stan to prison after betraying him in favor of making a deal with Homelander it makes no sense why Stan would trust them with knowledge of a weapon that could kill Homelander Lastly in the episode where Homelander goes back to visit the lab he grew up in, the woman he left alive said a remark about there is one person Homelander is afraid of and always will be. It has to be an existing character we have seen, rather than introducing a new characte in the final season. The obvious choice would have been soldier-boy but as we see in the finale credits he Homelander is shown as shocked finding out that SB is still alive so that eliminate him. He didn't fear Neumann at all so she is out as a possibility. No other Supe known to exist is an obvious threat. Which basically leaves only Stan to be the person he fears.

I had a lot of issues with the season, but still really enjoyed the last two episodes. Along with other things here and there throughout the season that I thought were good/great. I do have to say though with this selfie thing, that's pretty unfair to the show. I can't imagine an argument where people taking selfies was ever meant to even remotely seem like some bigger thing. It seems more like just a pretty inconsequential thing that you latched onto and expected to be some grand reveal when it was never even hinted at it being so.

I definitely was reading into things with the whole selfie thing. I just thought it was bit jarring, but I didn't think much of it until the shapeshifter was revealed. I thought it was the shapeshifter the whole time. But maybe it was just to show how easy it can be to walk up to supes? Was it the shapeshifter, or was it just random people? Is this how they deliver the virus to Homelander? I for sure latched on to something that turned up to be inconsequential. It's fine. Like I said, I still really enjoyed it, I just felt like there were some things worth exploring.

I actually can't remember any other selfie being taken other than Sage with Homelander. And Sage did that to show Firecracker that she was associated with Homelander and get her to join. What were the others? (Other than the shifter with Annie). They have shown fans asking for pictures a few times through the series as a whole....but that's just showing that these supes are super celebrities.

It happened several times in the first 3 episodes, enough for me to ask the question but I kind of dismissed it and forgot about it. But when it came up again with the shapeshifter, I thought it was part of a larger set-up. Turns out it wasn't. And like I said, it's cool, but it kind of lessened the value of the shapeshifter for me. Like, I wish the shapeshifter plot was developed further than some other plot points in the season. Either way, I had a good time overall, and am excited for more.

The shifter did come in to the show super late. And they were dispatched pretty quick lol. I know there were some theories going around thinking we would find out they were actually different people throughout the whole show. I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed that that. But would have enjoyed more with that shifter.

This season is my least favorite overall, but the last two episodes somehow saved it. The finale was packed and they really made me super excited for season 5. But I'm still confused, why they keep focusing on Sage's notebook with Maeve on it tho?... Could be just a coincidence
