I agree with both your thoughts and ideas. I'm leaning alittle more towards pudgeys theory but like you guys said it's alot to digest😂 I actuslly had to do my own historical research after watching this to get more information. Also when are we getting to the gaming💯🔥 you guys should play a game called "A way out". It has to be completed by 2 people and it's about to guys working together trying to escape prison and get back to there lives. Phenomenal game. I also just miss pudgey trying her hardest to beat you in mario kart😂😂

John has been part of Japanese society for months, and he doesn't see himself in his crew anymore, almost like they really look like barbarians to him now. As to why he punched him so much, I'm not sure, but I would say he is letting out all the frustration of his journey on that guy's face

Toranaga definitely improvised after his son died, but he also definitely conspired with Hiromatsu in order to convince Ishido and the council that he was beaten.

Right after Toranaga tells Hiromatsu to make his decision, Toranaga blinks while staring at Hiromatsu. He raises his eyebrows almost like he had an epiphany. They're having two completely different conversations at the same time. I could be reaching here but I choose to believe Hiromatsu understood the real plan in that moment.
