Billy was literally a racist guy who didn't want Max to hang out with Lucas because he's black... the fact that y'all keep forgetting that is sort of alarming to me lol, he was not a good guy, when he died people cheered... His only thing is that we saw HOW he became that way, his dad, but that doesn't mean he didn't become what he did, and at no point did he ever say he changed his mind or something. He was trash...

He was a product of his environment. If he lived I'm sure he could have changed for the better surrounded by better people. Also, I don't remember him being racist? It seemed like he didn't want her around any boys and was equally cruel to everybody.

Personally I really dislike the idea of bringing back the Steve/Nancy/Jonathan love triangle. Not just because I’m a N&J shipper, but because it feels like we’ve done that storyline for two seasons already. They also spent three seasons telling us Nancy should be with Jonathan, why change directions now? Give Steve a new love interest. He deserves someone better suited for him. I do agree with you though, Jonathan is a bit boring at this point. I think that much of his behaviour stems from worrying about Joyce, Will, and El, and from being afraid of ruining Nancy’s life by holding her back from her true potential. Which I think is something that comes from genuine love. Max has been one of my favourites from season two. I hate that she’s in Vecna’s path, but I think they’ve done a brilliant job showing the effect all the trauma has had on her. She hasn’t just shrugged it off and moved on; it’s obvious that she’s dealing with both grief and survivor’s guilt after Billy’s death. Sadie Sink gives a phenomenal performance this season. As you’ve already picked up on, Vecna is basically a living allegory for depression/PTSD/survivor’s guilt, to name a few. The writing is really top-notch with this whole storyline. The next episode is my favourite from the entire show. Literally cannot wait to see your reaction!
