What I think really keeps the seasons strong is they choose a genre or two of horror to play with each time.

I don’t agree season two is bad, upon a rewatch I thoroughly enjoyed it except for episode 7 but I would just skip it, I do think it’s my least fav, but I’ve enjoyed every single season, specifically 3, but ESPECIALLY 4, I mean the stakes are so high and you just grow to care more and more about the characters, I’m really excited for your future reactions 😁

I like season 2 (aside from ep7) but I’ve never been able to label it. S1 is intriguing and gripping, S3 is just fun and S4 is both terrifying and revealing. I don’t know what to call S2 tho

Did you guys recognize Dr. Sam Owens from The Boys season 3 as the pimp-like character named The Legend? VERY different character! 🤣 Honestly, I don't DISLIKE season 2. I think 2x7, for some people taints the entire season, but for me 2x8 & 2x9 are top 10 episodes for me!

Steve was originally intended to be the stereotypical mean jock bully you often find in 80s movies, but they screwed up big time by casting Joe Keery. He’s just too d*mn likeable, so they had to go a different route, for which we are all thankful. I like Jonathan better as a partner to Nancy, but I love Steve and his character growth so much. Billy was actually written into the show to fill the role Steve was initially supposed to have. IIRC Hopper didn’t actually adopt Eleven. Owens fudged a birth certificate for her, listing Hopper as her biological father. Although in practice it makes little difference; legally she is now Jane Hopper. Personally I love season two (my ranking would be 4, 2, 1, 3, though I always skip that one episode). Season three is definitely the weakest IMHO, but even a weak season of ”Stranger Things” is good TV. Season four might be one of the best seasons I’ve seen from any show. To the point I’m a little worried that season five won’t be able to top it, or even measure up to it. I choose to have faith in the Duffer brothers though.
