I have been begging you guys for ages to at least do the first episode of HOTD as a reaction. Not privately. And ideally the finale too, but if not, just the FIRST episode. Will you consider it? You're gonna rewatch it anyway! I understand that rewatches are not exciting for subscribers but the circumstances of your initial HOTD watch are unique (before GOT) and a reaction for a rewatch of the premiere would be worth it for everyone. There are a lot of things that went over your heads the last time as newcomers to the world (including references to GOT) that it would be great to fully experience now. Obviously you can do the rest of the season if you want... but guys, pls do the premiere! It's just an hour. Literally one episode. That's it. 🙏

Great reaction!!! Also can’t wait for Daemon vs Aemond … Aemond is my second favourite character behind Daemon who is obviously the Goat but one thing I wanted to point out to pudgey is during your guy’s hotd reactions , you thought that Aemond stole Vhagar when that’s not even a thing, Vhagar chose Aemond . Dragons aren’t inherited to your kids plus his grandfather rhode Vhagar before Laena and alot of people speculate that she wouldn’t have been able to claim it bc her personality is soo different from all of vhagar’s riders , just wanted to clear that up that dragons 🐉 can’t be stolen, Also Spartan you said that, did vhagar disobey aemond bc he was weak ,no as u saw luke’s dragon also disobeyed him calling back to ep 1 when Viserys says” The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion” . Dragons aren’t slaves and in the book when Aemond’s eye is sliced vhagar roared soo loud that the castle shook so they have a good bond. Honestly making him kill luke by accident confused alot of people .

Hey Julien, we appreciate your enthusiasm and understand your reasoning. we have tossed it over in our heads many times but the current workload we have and tryign to keep up with content makes it a very difficult and unlikely prospect. considering the demand would also be very limited we cant prioritise it over other reactions either. so if we find a way we will, but we can't guarantee anything

Obviously yes Alicent misunderstood what the King was saying with his last words. But at the same time it didn’t really change anything that was going to happen after that. Otto already had the plan to take over as soon as the King past away anyways.

Loved the trailers, SO STOKED for S2! I noticed the way Rhaenyra referred to Aegon II as "Alicent's son". Not "my brother" or "my father's son", just Alicent's. She's like Daemon now, who called them all "Hightowers" Team Black doesn't see Aegon & his siblings as family or even Targaryens at all. Easier to fight them that way.

idk i think aemond did steal vhagar. it’s never discussed in the books or show how the bonding of dragons and free dragons are handled. but it’d be silly to think that there wasn’t a protocol put in place for WHO got to try to bond with a dragon and WHAT dragons they were allowed to try to bond with. especially since that’s house targaryens and the thrones power. also accounting for the countless bastards house targaryenhad and the houses that the daughters married into. if there wasn’t something in place than all those running around with targaryen blood could just try hopping on to a dragon at any time, which wouldn’t be ideal or smart for the main branch of house targaryen as the dragons are basically their nukes and made them kings. so i think in a sense that aemond did “steal” vhagar. there’s probably a protocol on who would’ve been given the opportunity to claim her. i’d assume her daughter would’ve been first in line to try. i mean we learn of unclaimed dragons in episode 10 that have just been sitting there the entire time so the question is why weren’t rhaena and aemond ever given the chance to meet and claim those dragons? probably because there’s some type of protocol to handling those things. and in turn aemond skipped all the protocol the night of laenas funeral and claimed vhagar. i don’t think he stole her in the sense that rhaena would’ve even been able to claim vhagar but in the sense that he skipped the necessary steps to getting the chance to claim vhagar. i won’t spoil but i assume we might get more perspective on that in season 2 tho with all things considered.

Dragons can’t be stolen. Why didn’t Daemon care at all ? Bc he knows this , obviously Rhaena would be upset bc he claimed it bc she’s a kid but yes like I said Dragons aren’t passed onto your kids and Whoever got their first had the right and since Rhaena was mourning her mother , Aemond took that chance and vhagar accepted him …I recommend visiting the HOTD subreddit where they talk about this all the time , Dragon’s aren’t slaves and Like I said he had as much right as his grandfather rhode Vhagar before laena and Also by your logic Rhaenys stole melys from Daemon bc his mother rhode her and he was annoyed as he should bc he’s a kid like Rhaena but dragons choose their riders , they cannot be stolen , the only people who say this don’t understand dragon lore .

Although I'm not rooting for any side, I personally prefered Team Green's trailer, maybe it's because most of them are in King's Landing, but it felt more rich and intriguing, so I'm looking forward to watch Team Green's dynamic a little bit more, although I loved seeing the Wall and the North in Team Black trailer. Can't wait to watch season 2.

Yup very true! But I do think her misunderstanding makes things interesting. She truly believes that the King had a change of heart at the end. It justifies the war in her mind. (It’s frustrating as a viewer though since we know the truth lol)

i’ve read all the books, and i’ve been on the subreddit where plenty of people have mentioned the exact thing i’ve mentioned. i never said he didn’t have a right or that he really even “stole” vhagar. (ie. the quotation marks) also never said that dragons were passed down from parents to children. everyone SHOULD know that’s not how it works because laena tells rhaena the story of how she claimed vhagar, but what i’m saying is that i don’t believe that there’s absolutely no protocol set in place for claiming dragons and all im saying is i believe that there is a protocol in place and that aemond the night of laenas funeral skipped that protocol to claim vhagar. some of the targaryens got their dragons by their eggs hatching (ie. jace & luke with vermax & arrax ) but what about those whose eggs did not hatch what’re their options for claiming a dragon? i dont think its a technical “free for all”. it’s not stated in the show or any of the books how claiming dragons is handled but it’d be crazy and stupid for the royal family and the only dragon riders left to not have something in place so those with even a drop of targaryen blood (ie. targaryen bastards and half targaryen) could go around claiming riderless dragons. idk but id assume that there’s something in place to protect their dragons aka their power. also since we already know that not every targaryen baby even gets a dragon egg when they’re born. none of alicents kids got eggs (that we know of) so they all had to claim theirs, and it also became a problem when daemon stole an egg for his “baby” with mysaria. so all im saying is that MAYBE aemond did go around and break some rules BUT that doesn’t mean he really “stole” vhagar because of the way dragons pick and bond with their riders. i even mention how rhaena would’ve most likely failed anyways but PROBABLY had the right to try to claim vhagar first. again we have multiple riderless dragons on dragonstone and rhaena and aemond were not offered those dragons and MY question is why is that? is there a protocol in place for WHO gets to claim WHAT dragons. i’d discuss it even further with regards to season 2 and where the story is going with the unclaimed dragons like vermithor, cannibal, sheepstealer and seasmoke and why i think there’s a protocol but i don’t want to spoil it.
