Full Length Reaction Guide

We take copyright law very seriously, so you will have to sync up our reaction to your own version of the show/movie. To help, we have a range of guiding tools throughout the reaction to help you sync up with us, including a small snippet of the scene to ensure you are in sync.  Any instances in which you see the screen cut, this means we’ve had technical difficulties or have skipped a potential disruptions/bloopers. This means you will need to sync up your copy of the show again, if we are unable to edit these cuts seamlessly into the next scene. An updated timecode will be provided on the screen.  Anytime we pause, there will be timer/countdown on screen to prompt you. So if we’re about to pause, there’ll be a countdown, and you are expected to pause as the number reaches 0. The same will happen when we press play after pausing. You will press play as the number reaches 0.  Here are some popular ways people sync up the reaction with their own copy of the show:

  • Use a dual monitor PC setup to watch both screens simultaneously

  • Use the split screen functions on your computer/phone to watch them side by side

  • Chromecast / Screenshare one screen to your TV while watching the other screen on a phone or laptop

  • HDMI your laptop / tablet to the TV and use the TV as a 2nd monitor (not mirror display)

  • Use your Smart TV or Gaming console to play the YouTube reaction and your Phone/Laptop to play the show (or other way around)

  • Use Google chromes picture in picture mode to overlay your own copy of the show over our reaction in a smaller window size (Link to the extension here: ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/picture-in-picture-extens/hkgfoiooedgoejojocmhlaklaeopbecg?hl=en )

We hope you enjoy the video!

Johnny Depp caught lighting in a bottle with his first performance as Jack. He never reaches that height again the first movie he was just perfect. Still this is one of my favorites film trilogies enjoy the ride and great reaction as always.

I haven't watched these since they came out when I was a kid. So cool to rewatch it now

Spartan is absolutely right about Jack admiring Elizabeth. The moment after the kiss is described as followed (from the script): "Jack looks into her eyes, desiring her all the more, knowing her true heart is the same as his." "Jack nods accepting the fate, the logic of what she has done. He says -- with some admiration -- "Pirate!" "

"Bootstrap" Bill Turner is played by Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, while Davy Jones is played by Bill Nighy who had a small role as Rufus Scrimgeour, the minister of magic in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. All of the crew are CGI with the exception of "Bootstrap" Bill. Stellan Skarsgård's makeup took four hours to apply. The texture of Davy Jones's skin was made by scanning a dirty coffee cup and applying it to the screen using Photoshop-type software. To portray the character, Bill Nighy wore a motion capture tracksuit and tracking dots on his face so they did not have to reshoot the scene in the studio without him. His tentacles are mostly a simulation, though at times they were hand-animated when they act as limbs for the character. Also, he only wore a prosthetic once, with blue-colored tentacles when Will steals the key while he's sleeping. The scene where the Kraken spits at Jack is not computer-generated, it was real slime thrown at Johnny Depp. Filming in Grand Bahama Island to shoot ship exteriors was difficult because of weather and then came Hurricane Wilma where the cast and crew had to be evacuated, though no one was hurt nor were any of the ships destroyed. Fun facts: Jack's "I got a jar of dirt" and "fish face" were improvised by Johnny Depp and most of the reactions are real too. Similarly, Will's "I can do this all day" was improvised by Orlando Bloom. Keira Knightley is the one who suggested the scene between Jack and Elizabeth where she kisses him and then handcuffs him to the ship. That was actually left out of Orlando Bloom's script to get a better reaction from him. When the crew are in Tia Dalma's hut there are hints to Captain Barbossa being there: The black hat Jack is holding has a large black feather in it, just like Barbossa's hat. And after Tia lets the monkey out of the cage, he runs off and starts playing with a pair of boots that are attached to a leg, which belongs to Barbossa. Also, to get a genuine and an authentic reaction, the actors were not told prior to filming that Geoffrey Rush would be appearing in the film. They were told that the person coming down the stairs would be Anamaria (played by Zoe Saldana) from the first film. Lastly, Johnny Depp's dentist is credited at the end of the film.
