So, you guys voted on it and you wanted to see, even if they're super rough (and I had NO WAY to scan them well alas DX) But you guys wanna see what's going on in my head so lemme let you in on it a bit.
First off let me give the premise of the game: Invaders from outer space have attacked Askin Fort, coming to Earth to try and begin a hostile takeover of their people! Alien Bunny Babes are invading from mars with the dastardly goal of kidnapping our populace to inflate them and hand them out as door prizes at their intergalactic County Faire. Suki of course will have none of that, and springs into action to defend against these invaders and their evil ways the only way she knows how, a gentle touch :>
I'm very excited to continue work on this project, I have a lot to do, as you can see, but let me take you through what we have here:
1-3: This is the main antagonist of the game, General Laggu. She's a harsh, dictatorial commander leading the invading force into Earth and centered on Askin Fort, the unluckiest place on the planet. She leads her three head commanders in trying to kidnap as many people as they can before fleeing back to their planet. She is a vicious tactician who does not accept failure, does not celebrate success, and expects nothing but complete and total victory. The final image of these three is her initial sketches, but she's been refined more into the first two now.
4-6: This is the first boss of the game, one of General Laggu's right hand women, Commander Duvet. She leads the ground forces of the invasion, flying out at the vanguard of the attack in a single pilot mech, The Duve-2. the last two images are the rough of those designs, and the Duve-2 is going to go through a few more changes, still l3
7-8: These are the base concepts for the invading ground forces outfits. Every one of these invaders will be wearing a spacesuit inspired by a buncha things I like or find hot: They're all bunnysuits at the base, with bulgey parts around the wrists and neck akin to those in a scene from Grenadier I really liked, plugsuit inspirations for designs, hex mesh designs on anything that would normally be exposed skin, jetson like space rings on the ears and ankles (so you both know they're from space and incredibly lame in one smooth motion), and bugs bunny like gloves because those are adorable. The commanders have similar suits, but they're inverted versions. The initial three designs have ideas of mine with a main ground soldier, a shocktrooper, and a floating airborne unit. They're each going to have unique weapons and attacks, and while their outfits are similar they're each going to have unique attacks and animations.
9-10: Finally, some rough ideas for what's going on with the first level, of COURSE taking place at Suki's School, MSVU (Mother Saint Victoria University)! The whole of Askin Fort is going to be celebrating it's Tricentennial, meaning there will be colour, fun and parties throughout the entire city throughout the game! My goal is to keep things playful, fun, beautiful and cartoony throughout the game. I'm excited to begin colouring this stage, the world that they're in is going to be the most important aspect of the game I feel, since if I can't pull you into their world then what's the point. The second of these images is just an idea for how some elements would work as stage concepts: batches of balloons and streetlights, fences and grates, trees and grass, streamers and all kindsa things. I'm trying to think of objects and interactables that can be toyed with at different weights to allow for future pathing and level design. A LOT goes into even the littlest things, so these two simple images have a LOT of concepts in them <3

Anyways, these are the SUPER rough images, and I apologize for their quality, but of course I'll be refining them more and more as their time comes, and I hope you all enjoy the insight into the process and designs so far!
