Shoutout for Scarlet law and JYP Games (Patreon)

Heya! This is a shoutout post for JYP Games and their game called Scarlet law. It’s a Renpy visual H novel with gameplay based around harem building and resource management. The game solely focuses on getting more girls without any competition or NTR elements. Scarlet law uses 3d graphics with anime styling. You can check it out in the screenshots in this post’s gallery. As far as I can say, the game does a decent job with characters, yet some backgrounds could use some love.

The story is based on the Scarlet law, which allows anyone in the country to pay money and claim a single girl as their slave. The player gets this information along with news that their "landlord" and "little roommate" (I used default “roles”, these can be renamed in the game along with the main character’s name) are bought in this manner. So, they will be forced out of the home soon, leaving the main hero alone.

So, anyway, the news hit the main character very hard. He does nothing aside from playing video games until the Lady of the Lake summons him, offering help in returning the girls back. He finds her in the nearby park, but the problem is – she is weakened and can’t materialize in the real world unless the main character provides his essence. He has a very old and rare bloodline from ancient times in his veins to make him special. So, he jerks off into the lake and a succubus appears.

She’s the voice who called him out there, yet, sadly, she can’t help the main character. Still, he provides a way to circumvent the Scarlet law – to match the money that random guy used to buy the girls. In this case, they will be able to choose their master. Then the main character is ambushed by a nun and a bandit, wakes up in a bed with the local princess. After hearing him out, she conveniently buys off the contract for the mom landlord and gives it to the main character. With this, the prologue ends, and the player takes the control with an immediate goal of buying off the “little roommate”.

The gameplay itself is more or less standard management with a bunch of quality-of-life features. The local quest journal clearly states what you need to do in order to progress with girls or the main quest line. Even if you hate words and skip everything, you will be able to move forward. Also, the local map allows players to jump between the main locations without clicking through all screens between them.

Numbers-wise, there are 6 girls and 6 H scenes in the gallery at the moment. These are pretty light on the narrative part but have small animations weaved into them. These are also used in some dialogues and backgrounds to liven up the picture.
