Weekly report (Patreon)

A very busy week on my day job. It amazes me how every damn time people will suddenly realize that the year is ending and scramble to complete their unfinished business. This causes a huge spike of mindfuck which isn’t great for creative after-work time.

Couldn’t finish any art pieces for the Patreon before this report but I’m working on the 3rd tier plate with the same semi chibi style. It features Jinko the tiger girl in her favorite ”sneaking gear”. Yorna’s veterans will know what I mean ^^.

Aside from the little cuteness, I was working on optimizing animation in the game. At this moment, the entire animation pack loads up into RAM to avoid loading times before or between animation sequences. It’s not a real problem now but I want to prepare a more flexible solution before animation packs will start eating 100+ mb of RAM to properly load.

Well, it’s nothing critical since most of the workload is already done except visual decor for the new project on Patreon, prepping promo materials for forums and so on. Ouro will release between November 14th and 16th with 2 fully animated scenes and the introductory part of the story.

After that, I’ll use the usual update and post schedule. Just like with Yorna, I’ll do monthly “plan” posts to highlight major points I’m working on during the period. Most likely monthly polls will be active too - players will vote for Kira’s new clothes and the winner will get inside the game. Perhaps, I’ll do something like this with optional quests too later in the story.

There is a bit of bad news though. Sadly, Gai Noob, the main artist, is still working out his real-life issues and Ouro will start without his great art. I expect we’ll fall into the usual schedule around December - January period.

I’m still uncertain about making 2 animated scenes along with introducing new characters but it will clear after the first/second update. Ideally, this won’t be a problem with Gai Noob’s return so let’s hope it’ll be so.
