The artists are switching to Ouroboros with a little special planned for Yorna’s final update. Teaser movie is already in the sketching and I’m looking for an additional artist to share the workload between the art brigade’s members. 

Added more maps to the initial pack and I’m pretty close to completing the logistical part of zones with shops, implant clinic and other utility buildings. Tileset-wise, I think I have everything I need at the moment.

The next step will be adding combat and balancing between stats. 2 main points are subtlety vs combat potential and firepower vs accuracy. Some missions will have optional stealth options with bonus loot, credits and fame. Yet if something will go wrong - you’ll find yourself with a weaker weapon set.

Accuracy vs firepower is more fragile balancing point. Some weapons will have burst and auto fire modes which can deal a lot of damage yet sustained fire will negatively impact your chance to hit and eat up limited ammo. Accuracy-focused weapons will focus on regularly hitting the target although with weaker shots.

Of course, you’ll have weapon mods and melee options to make your own build or perhaps even prepare several sets for different goals.

Logic and text-wise the initial release is ready for about 30% with the most basic functions already in the game. Still, there’s a lot of work to do before releasing Ouroboros. It’s planned for October 16th. If it won’t be ready at this date, I’ll switch to ”per update” Patreon setting until I’m finished with the game.
