Hello.

It's time to show what exactly will be inside the Part 1 of the overhaul, and share some plans for what happens in December as well.
The process of upgrading the images turned out to be quite an arduous task. A lot of character poses had to be fully remade in order to make images with big resolution, and that took lots of time.

So for December instead of the overhaul I'll release an update to Holiday Special, as well as something extra, and continue working on image upgrading in the background.
The Holiday Special really needs an upgrade too, since it's currently not available within the game due to many changes in how events work.
More info on that will be posted after 0.55 is released.

What will be inside 0.55 update:

- New title screen, that changes depending on Serena's customization options and other things
- New methods of image optimization that will help to make lots of unique images sets for Serena in the future
- New wardrobe update
- Reworked default outfit for Serena
- Improved prologue
- Improved neighbour interactions
- New phone options with new features
- Upgraded events around Serena's apartment
- Halloween event

There might be a few extra things in the release, or a thing or two from this list will be removed, because there's still a lot of preparation left. Right now the Saturday release looks like the most probable one, but there's still a good chance of late Friday release.

hmmm no turkey event? some naughty thanks giving diner or something? nothing to implement for the coming update but maybe a short event in the next few days?

I thought about it, but I don't have a texture for a baked turkey or chicken, so it would've been an awkward dinner image :P

One of the things that will be showcased(and I'll probably make a separate post about it too) is the new framework of showing standing images for Serena and the rest of the cast. The gist of it is: It allows to make unique image sets for each character that will automatically work in any event in the game, without me having to update the events manually. It took a lot of time to set it up, but this system makes it possible to make standing image sets featuring different poses, and allows for huge amounts of customization. So the answer is: not yet - because I haven't discarded the idea of tan being available throughout the game, and I'm slowly working towards making it possible :)

I do have an idea for something next week, especially since the release is way too technical again. Something more interesting than posts about features and progress logs would be nice.
