What you need to know to play with the debug menus

The debug menus can be enabled/disabled at any time by:

  • Going into the Options Menu
  • Clicking on the Data tab
  • On the right column there will be a Paladin Supporter Password field. Enter the password for the build there.
  • An Enable Debug Menus checkbox will appear, letting you switch them on or off.

The password for this release:

Paladin8.3

(Yes it is case sensitive, yes there is no space, yes the password WILL CHANGE in future releases, but will be included with the post that has the build)

What Debug functions are available

Dungeon Map Menu - Middle mouse button click anywhere in the Dungeon to bring up this menu. Note that many of the functions refer to a specific room, which will be whichever room your mouse was over when you first middle clicked.

  • Get Room Info: Prints out information about the room you opened the menu over to the console. Can only be seen if the game is actually run through a console (which you can do if you really want to use this).
  • Change Room Type: Opens up another menu of room types. Selecting one will clear out the room then change it to the selected type. Monster and Trap rooms will get a debug threat put inside them.
  • Change Monster Occupant: Opens another menu of all the loaded monster IDs. Selecting one changes the room to a monster room and occupies it with the selected monster type.
  • Change Trap Occupant: Same as above but with traps instead of monsters.
  • Set Room Obscured/Unobscured: Adds/Removes darkness from the room.
  • Reveal Map: Makes all rooms on the map visible.
  • Explore Map: Makes all rooms on the map visible and explored.
  • Remove All Darkness: Makes all rooms on the map have no darkness.
  • Remove Scry Cooldown: Sets the current cooldown of the Scry spell to 0.
  • Learn and Activate Spell: Opens another menu with all the loaded spell IDs. Selecting one will add it to your spell list (if it isn't already there), and mark the spell as active (regardless of mana).
  • Apply Status Effect to Threat in Room: Opens another menu that is populated with all the status effect IDs appropriate for that room type (monster or trap only). Selecting one will apply that status effect to the threat.
  • Go to Next Floor: Opens the menu to allow going to camp/the next floor. A selection made here works regardless of progress on the current floor.
  • Re-Generate Floor: Reloads the map, running map generation again. Note that it does NOT remove any effects from the knights.

Ally Menu - Middle mouse button click on any Ally in the Dungeon to bring up this menu.

  • Increase Injury: Applies 25 Injury damage.
  • Increase Exhaustion: Applies 25 Exhaustion damage.
  • Increase Lust: Applies 25 Lust damage.
  • Increase TCorruption: Applies 10 Temporary Corruption damage.
  • Increase PCorruption: Applies 50 Permanent Corruption damage.
  • Full Heal: Removes all Injury, Exhaustion, Lust, Temporary Corruption, and Permanent Corruption from the Ally. Also removes ALL Status Effects (even good ones and even hidden compulsions).
  • Apply Status: Opens another menu of all loaded status effect IDs. Selecting one will apply the status to that Ally with a duration of 10.
  • Learn Skill: Opens another menu of all loaded skill IDs. Selecting one will grant the Ally 1 rank in that Skill.
  • Gain Curse: Opens another menu of all loaded curse IDs. Selecting one will apply that curse to the Ally.
  • Refresh Learnable Skills: Rerolls the currently offered Skills the Ally can naturally learn.
  • Reveal All Curses: Sets all Curses currently applied to the Ally as visible, regardless of research or if they have taken effect before.
  • Embrace All Curses: Sets all Curses currently applied to the Ally as Embraced.
  • Reject All Curses: Same as above, but Rejected.
  • Rank Up random Curse: Increases the current rank of one of the Curses applied to the Ally.

Camp Menu - While in the Camp menu, middle mouse button click on the Inquisitor's portrait in the bottom right to bring up this menu.

  • Reroll all Activity Plans: Forces all Allies to go through their decision making for how to spend the current time slot again.
  • Learn and Activate Spell: Works the same as Learn and Activate Spell in the dungeon.
  • Refresh Spell Cooldowns: Removes the cooldowns from all known active Spells.
  • Go to Dungeon: Immediately returns to the dungeon regardless of the time in camp.

Camp Allies - Admittedly, I haven't actually needed to use this one very much yet, and for dumb technical reasons that I haven't bothered to fix it works differently from the other menus. To open these menus, you have to hold Alt and press the number of whichever Ally you want to open the menu for (Raine 1, Lucette 2, Elli 3). If the Ally is in a location lower down on the camp location list, the location of the menu can get a bit screwy, sorry about that:

  • Gives the same options as the debug menu for Allies in the Dungeon.

Notes Menu:

  • Middle mouse clicking the Research button for any Monster/Trap/Curse/Skill will immediately fully Research it.
  • Middle mouse clicking any Event entry will unlock it for viewing (does not add it to your save).

Skill Menu:

  • Middle clicking the Blank out Scroll button will give you +1 scroll of the currently selected Skill

Desire Manipulation - Middle mouse button click the Control Gauge when an Ally is in a trance in your tent to bring up this menu.

  • Print Numbers: Outputs some of the numbers behind desire manipulation to the console.
  • Max Control: Sets the current value of the control gauge to the maximum.
  • Min Control: Sets the current value of the control gauge to 1 (which is not actually the minimum, but whatever)

New Game+:

  • Middle clicking the confirm button will allow you to proceed with the currently selected bonuses, even if the total cost of those bonuses is greater than the amount you actually have.

And that's it for now. More are likely to get added with time (or if they're highly requrested). Let me know if anything is terribly broken (although you should probably expect bugs if you start doing weird stuff with debug menus), or if you are using a trackpad and absolutely can't middle click or something.
