Update, Slightly Behind Schedule (Patreon)

So as I already said I'm writing the outline for Witches Going Live vol 1 and I need to admit that it was going great until it wasn't. Because I'm now just figuring the main character, the draft went through some severe growing pains and I had to do something that I don't usually do. I paused it and reworked big chunks of it today because the main character simply was not coming across very well. I needed work on getting his voice down and his personal issues, which were all over the place. I basically stopped before I was actually finished and went back to every scene where his issues are relevant and tightened them up and trimmed what wasn't working. I kept adding weird anecdotes about how he was struggling with advanced lust and coupled with the fact that he was focused on Liri while also wanting to continue his relationship with his orbnet GF's at the same time was making him come off like a complete and total schizophrenic asshole. I actually lost sleep over how bad I felt it was coming out lmao.

But I'm happy to say that I, like a surgeon, excise all those tumorous bits and brought Leo back to how he was supposed to be and how he was presented in his character bio. I kept trying to make his issues even deeper than 'he just doesn't have any sense of self-worth' when that was supposed to be the point in the first place and as I said it just made him very unlikable. The reason why I kept doing that was because I was afraid that readers were going to think he's incredibly pathetic at the start of the story so I gave off additional reasons as to why he is not the way he is. He starts off worse than Coye by far, but his transformation is going to be huge. Unlike Coye, Leo is in a very, very bad mental place at the start of his story and the cure isn't immediate, but yeah.

All in all I'm just trying to say that this took me a day of work to fix but I'm very happy with the way everything is coming out. I'm like 23k words into the outline right now I expect to be done within two days where I will then get back to working on Coye. I just need to get it all ready for my friend to start ghostwriting it and then I can not think about it for a while.
