It was the afternoon after Coye's big battle, and he was enjoying it at home in bed. His body still ached all over as the alchemical concoctions within him pushed him to regrow bones at an unnatural speed, but he was healing ahead of schedule. All in all, he felt much better. The double blowjob he was getting helped with that a lot, though.

He was laying naked on his back, Shayla cuddled up to his chest still exhausted from the day before. She had a lot of things she wanted to talk to Coye about, but most of those would have to wait until they were both feeling on top of their game. She watched as Byng and Suzette worked his cock between them, trading mouths and tongues. They'd improved their skill at this considerably since the first time they did this for him, and it showed. Coye was continually making pleasured noises as wet slurps and passionate licks were heard in his little cabin.

"You sure are living the life, huh?" Shayla couldn't help but comment and feel a little left out.

"Can't help it-" Coye moaned and carefully made sure he didn't hurt his back and exacerbate his wounds.  "I still... Need to get drained or else it will build up...!"

"That sure sounds like an excuse to me," Shayla teased.

Byng popped off his cock and wiped her chin off before looking up at the little fairy, saying, "Layoff him, Shay! Poor guy slept all the way until this morning after we brought him home, gahaha!"

"Indeed," Suzette took advantage of Byng's absence to lick all the way up his shaft and danced the tip of her tongue around his frenulum. After giving him a soft kiss, she added, "besides, he deserves a little love after his recent bout of heroism, I'd say."

"Same," Byng agreed. "If I weren't so sure I'd break your hips, I'd be riding the fuck out of you right now! Gods, I get so fucking wet thinking about the way you beat the shit out of that stupid mage...!" Byng got overly excited and was pumping his shaft at speeds he couldn't handle. His voice trembled and quivered until she eased off. "Whoops. Sorry, got carried away."

"You're okay..." He replied breathily. "I'm not gonna be able to handle much more, though..."

"Good," Shayla wiggled her way to his nipple and started stroking it with her little hands. "Get this done with so you can get back to resting, dummy!"

"H-Hey!" Coye dug his hands into the sheets below for stability at the new onset of pleasure. "I... I can't- AH!" All of the combined attention he was getting led to a momentous explosion which Suzette was just in time to stop. She opened wide and took his tip within her mouth, sucking him free of all the ropes of semen she could earn. She tapped Byng's shoulder before it was time to swap and then entrusted her partner with the rest.

Coye ended up hurting himself a little from the convulsions of his body, but he didn't regret it in the slightest as he looked up from his pillows to see Byng and Suzette both drooping their cum-covered tongues out of their mouths for his pleasure before swallowing. He smiled wide and then collapsed his head backwards.

"Thank you," he breathed heavily and sighed. "I love the both of you so much..."

"Don't mention it," Byng smirked and wormed her way up the bed to gently snuggle against his side.

Suzette smiled gently and stood up from the bed, but not before leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek. "Think nothing of it, Darling."

Shayla couldn't help noticing that someone wasn't joining in for the cuddles. "Not gonna stick around?"

"No, I was going to check on the Guild before running the store for the rest of the day. I'll be back later tonight though, don't you worry. Think the two of you can watch over him for me in the meantime?"

"I dunno..." Byng gave her lover a mischievous grin. "If you leave him alone with me, I can't promise I'm not gonna try and ride him!"

"And I might not stop her," Shayla smirked as well. "Poor boy has to learn a lesson somehow."

"And what lesson is that supposed to teach me?" Coye wondered.

"The fragility of the human pelvis?" Shayla shrugged.

"Now that is something I'd love to test!" Byng playfully nibbled on Coye's nipple, just to reinforce the fact that he wasn't safe. He shifted while giggling, unintentionally hurting his side but it was well worth the pain.

When it settled down, Coye's mind drifted toward the Guild after Suzette brought it up. "I hope Dorothy is doing okay right now..."

"I'd imagine she still resting," Suzette guessed.

"Yeah, she's been through a lot," Coye agreed.

"Are you just worried about her, or are you thinking about something else?" Shayla stood up on his chest and walked over to the space beside him on the pillow, reclining by his side. "I mean, you were pretty damn resolute when you told us you are ready to make a move on her."

"No," he blushed instantly. "I... I wasn't really thinking of that yet. I want to wait until we've all had more time to calm down, but... Maybe I am still little overexcited..." Coye admitted. Even as he laid there with a broken body that was beyond the scope of Shayla's healing magic, he still had every intention of making his move as soon as the time was right.

"Nothing wrong with that," Byng supported him with her typical cheery disposition. "If you ask me, I think Dorothy is as ready as she'll ever be for you to pounce. I was hanging out with her yesterday, and I got a pretty good feel for where she's at. There's no way she's not into you, short-stuff. All you gotta do is push."

"Really...?" Coye almost couldn't even imagine it. He loved Dorothy for so long and never thought she would be so close to being his, but...

"While I agree, don't spur him on, Byng. Dorothy needs rest. Arguably more so than Darling does. She's not some superhuman who can stand there getting punched in the face by gauntlets made of hardened stone for minutes on end..." Suzette sighed, still recalling the horrors she witnessed the day before.

"How about this," Shayla crossed her arms and proposed something in the middle. "All of your healing should be done by tomorrow, so we are obviously going to go and check on her anyway, right?"

"Obviously," Coye confirmed.

"Right, so, just see how she's doing and if she's feeling better, you can drop suggestion that you want to talk to her in a couple of days. You know, don't be super obvious about it, but make sure she knows what kind of intention you have, baby. Think you can handle that?"

Coye thought about it and and smiled. "Yeah. That sounds good, actually. I'll go with that."

"Good!" She felt like being affectionate, so she gave him a quick peck on the cheek that gave him the familiar zap of fairy magic.

Suzette was in the middle of putting on some makeup using a hand mirror she kept in her purse, but as she did, she started to fret. "You make it sound like it's going to be that easy. You know what will happen to you tomorrow if you go to the Guild, don't you?"

"What do you mean?" Coye had an idea, but he always liked things spelled out for him if given the option.

"She means that a lot of shallow whores are going to try and fuck you now that they know the kind of man you are," Byng narrowed her eyes and wrapped her legs around his waist like she was trying to wrestle him. The possessive display ended up hurting him, causing her to back off and apologize. "Shit, my bad!"

"You're okay," he laughed. He liked seeing Byng like that enough that it offset the pain.

"I'm sure Byng is exaggerating, but not as much as you might think. You will get swarmed tomorrow, Mark my words." Suzette puffed out her lips as she applied a stunning black lipstick to near perfection. "You handled it well yesterday while tensions were high, but will you be alright tomorrow, Darling?"

"That's a good question." Coye thought about it with a wistful smile. "I used to hate being the center of attention. It scared me, and it made me think of ways to get bullied back in my hometown. Somehow, I doubt it's gonna be much of a problem anymore."

"Getting used to being the center of attention, baby?"

"Step by step," he joked.

"You'll be okay. I'll tag along tomorrow and keep people off your back."

"Sounds good, but I want to talk to Dorothy alone, though."

"Besides me, obviously," Shayla corrected.

Byng cackled a bit but ultimately backed off. "No worries, that one is all you!"

As Suzette was finishing the final touches on her makeup, she couldn't help expressing her distaste for the other one who might be waiting for him at the Guild tomorrow. "I hope that Auguris fellow won't be around to give you a hard time," she scowled at the thought of him. "I've never seen a more stubborn and hardheaded man. I find it hard to believe he'll really give up on whatever it is he was after simply because you defeated him, Darling."

"It's fine if I run into him," Coye stressed. "I wanted to talk to him, actually."

"Really?" Byng raised an eyebrow. "Why, are you up to something?"

"Something like that," Coye shrugged, remaining evasive.

Suzette stood up from the table and put everything back into her purse. "In any case, if I never have to see that silver haired fool again, it'll be too soon..." She had trouble at the thought of even looking at him after how much pain he caused Coye. Her eyelid twitched as impulses racked her brain and she was about to go on to say something else about him, but there was suddenly a knock at the door.

Shayla flew over to Coye's hat on the nightstand and Byng quickly covered Coye's naked body under the blankets before Suzette went over to the door and opened it up crack. "Hello, can I... help... you?"

"No, you cannot. Unless you can point me in the direction of Coye, that is. This is his personal residence, correct?" Coye heard the stern voice of a certain mage at his door and he shared a concerned expression of Byng.

Suzette barely contain her rage as she looked over her shoulder and smiled at Coye. "Darling, you won't believe who's here..." She said in a voice laden with dark thoughts. Coye, Byng and Shayla all saw the humor here and they tried not to laugh at her annoyance.

"I'm in here, come on in," Coye greeted his guest from the bed. Suzette stepped aside and Auguris walked in.

Today, he didn't have his magic coat that Coye broke and instead wore a black suit with a green tie and gemstone cufflinks. His hair was cropped to one side, parted with excellent style and making him look like a handsome intellectual. If he never opened his mouth, he might have appeared charming.

"You live like this? Here? In cramped squalor?" He adjusted his glasses, his face having fully healed from Coye's devastating punch. "I would never have expected as much..."

'Cool. Very normal thing to say when you visit someone's house.' Shayla sounded almost as bitter as Suzette. This was her dream home and even if it wasn't much, it was still hers.

"Yeah, it's not great," Coye admitted. "But it's a start."

"Is it?" Auguris looked around, unconvinced.

"Alright, Darling..." Suzette felt her frustration beginning to rise and knew she wasn't going to be able to handle much more of this. "I'm going to take off now. I'll see you all later." And then she was out the door in seconds flat.

"What was her hurry? Did I say something wrong? Did I offend her?" He was puzzled and looked to Coye for an answer.

Byng scooted to the edge of the bed and smirked. "No, I don't think so. You should totally stop by her shop sometime, though. Just make sure you eat or drink any free samples she offers you!"

"How excellent," Auguris rubbed his chin. "I am indeed always looking to save myself some gold... thank you, female goblinoid."

Byng didn't usually get offended at being mistaken as a goblin, but the cold, scientific way he addressed her rubbed her wrong even if it wasn't the intention. Shayla sensed it and saw an opportunity to tease.

'Gonna start calling you that from now on,' she said as Byng scowled in the direction of the hat.

'Be nice.' Coye talked back.

Shayla didn't know if she was going to get used to that. They had a brief talk about some of the things he pulled off during the fight yesterday and Coye was able to at least replicate the telepathy, but unlike Shayla who could direct it at anyone, he could talk to her with it.

Auguris was staring blankly at Coye for several moments before the boy had it in him to ask, "so... Did you come to visit or what?"

"While I do not regret my actions, I do question the force at which I enacted violence upon you. After a certain point, I was swept into the whole affair more than I initially meant to be. I understand this put you through great bodily and financial harm. I have something for you." He dug a small satchel out of his pants pocket and tossed it to Coye.

'What is it?' Shayla was impatient. She wanted to know if Auguris was trying to pay him off or something, which would've been nice if Britni hadn't already paid his medical bill.

Coye opened the bag and found there was no such gold or valuables inside. Instead, a single rock the size of his fist. "You brought me a rock?"

'I don't know I was expecting,' Shayla rubbed her forehead with her palm.

"Open it up," Auguris extended his hand like he was playing paper and made a chopping motion.

Coye took the cue and infused his hand with enough energy to cleanly slice the rock in half. Inside, he found that the interior of the rock was made up of beautiful crystals that shined and shimmered in the light.

"Oh," Coye turned around and inspected it. "Um. Thanks. It's really pretty?" He offered one half to Byng and she was into it but the whole thing still felt awkward because of Auguris.

"It is a geode. Common in the grand scheme of things, so common one might overlook it. However, break one open and you will be surprised at the things you find. Forgive my poor attempt at a metaphor, but it reminded me of you."

'How is he not intentionally trying to sound as gay as possible?' Shayla was in disbelief.

Coye blushed and looked away, but Byng spoke up and teased, "you know he's not into you, right?"

"I'm afraid I don't follow?"

Coye forced himself to look at Byng and asked, "is this what I'm like to other people?"

"Nah, short-stuff," she comforted him and patted his knee. "You're adorable when you're stupid and oblivious. This is something else entirely."

That relieved Coye a bit and he asked, "so were you only here to wish me well, or what?"

"No. I came here because I want something, I just fell to the rare need to add in a sentimental gesture before extending an offer to you. You did exceptionally well yesterday, and performed to the best of your capabilities-"

"be honest with me," Coye interrupted. "How much were you holding back?"

Auguris adjusted his glasses. "You ask that as if calculating power is such an easy thing. If you wish for me to tell you something trite like I was only using ten percent of my power, I'm afraid I must disappoint you. There are too many variables. All that is relevant is that I was consciously trying to stop you from achieving victory, and yet you did. You should be proud of that rather than worrying over the gap in our skills."

Coye was surprised at such a nice answer and he smiled a little. It wouldn't stop him from comparing them or thinking back to things he could've done better during the fight, but it felt nice to know Auguris wasn't entirely holding back.

"As for the reason I'm here today-"

"you want to ask me to go on quests with you even though you lost, right?"

"Aha. Straight to the point, I see. Yes."

Shayla blinked as if she'd missed a page somewhere. 'Wait, what?'

Byng responded similarly and instantly asked, "are you fucking stupid?"

"No?" Auguris sounded genuinely confused. "I am very smart. Quantifiably so, I might add."

"Oh, my bad," Byng sarcastically rolled her eyes and almost wished she had joined Suzette on her way back into town.

"It's okay," Coye calmed her down and rubbed her back. "I want to hear him out. Can you tell me what exactly I would even do on quests with you? I don't really understand what value I would have for someone on your level."

"What I wish for is someone reasonably strong to accompany me. The problem isn't that I can't handle things on my own, it's merely that I don't wish to. When I go out on quests, which is rare, mind you, I typically only pick ones that will further my research in some way or form."

"Don't you like study rocks or some shit? Why is someone like you even researching a place like this?" Byng wondered.

"An excellent question. The Gnarled Woods is the largest area in Karnalle with demonic influence. The very earth itself is tainted and that interests me. On top of there being plenty of rare minerals beneath the forest for me to study, I have a general interest in studying demonic corruption and its effects on the soil so that I might one day minimize its effects."

'Is he... Is this guy really saying he wants to cure the forest?' Shayla raised an eyebrow. For some reason, he didn't strike her as an altruist.

"Can you imagine how much gold there is to be made in such endeavors?" Auguris smiled and adjusted his glasses. "How much every Lord in Karnalle would pay to cleanse their own little demonic hotspots? My calculations point at astronomical sums... Enough to fulfill the dream I've carried within me ever since I was cracking open my own first geode."

Coye was interested in hearing more about Auguris and his dream, but not enough that distracted him from talking business. "So, what. You want me to stand around and keep things from distracting you while you work?"

"Precisely. I treat my quests as if they are fieldwork, and I become completely enraptured. It pains me to admit this, but the world around me passes by and I often wind up in situations most inconvenient simply because of my one track mind."

"Remind me how the fuck you made it to gold rank?" Byng laughed.

"Because I could destroy a town by dropping an entire mountain on top of it with a swipe of my wand." Auguris said very matter-of-factly.

"...Ooookay then." Byng shrank back a little. He wasn't joking, and it made her somewhat hesitant to fuck around and find out.

'He can do all that and he can't fight his own battles?' Shayla wasn't impressed. 'This is stupid. Send this idiot packing already, baby.'

"Sounds great," Coye said. "Feel free to hit me up whenever."

"Excellent."

'What?! That's the opposite of what I just said!!' Shayla was so shocked she almost stood up under the hat and revealed herself.

"Ah, now I see what you're getting at..." Byng stroked her chin and looked at her man with approval. "You want to tag along and earn points on gold ranked quests which you can't accept without a gold ranker in your party, yeah?"

"Exactly." Coye nodded. "It'll be good for my career and I'm really motivated to become stronger, so I'm thankful for the opportunity."

"I should be the one thanking you," Auguris smiled smugly.

"For I except, though... You haven't forgotten the bet. Right?"

"Of course not," he scoffed. "This new arrangement doesn't nullify the terms I agreed to yesterday. I will remain agreeable toward Dorothy Whittle in all matters, even in situations where I don't believe she is in the right."

"Good. Then-"

'hold on a second, are you really sure about this? It doesn't sound like he's going to be much help. You'll be up against really powerful monsters if you start teaming up with him, and I don't know how we stack up yet...'

'I can always bail on him. He's strong enough to handle himself if I need to get out of there.'

'That's awful cowardly,' Shayla raised an eyebrow.

'Thin line between cowardly and smart sometimes, I think.'

'Okay, fair...' Shayla still had her reservations, but conceded Coye had thought this through. She wouldn't have been surprised if he was already thinking about this exact outcome yesterday.

"Coye?" Auguris questioned the boys sudden pause.

"Sorry. Just thinking to myself. Like I said, I'm down for this whenever. How often are you thinking this will be?"

"Not incredibly often, I've already said I don't quest much. Perhaps it might be more often if you end up making my excursions more streamlined, but that remains to be seen. Your significant other here is an adventurer too, is she not? You can consider the offer extended to you as well."

"Can't..." Byng crossed her arms and started to pout. "I'm not even all that weaker from him, but I'm still in bronze -rank."

"There's always the future," Coye offered his sympathies and a smile.

'Really, it's a blessing if you think about it. Do you really want to hang out with Auguris for an extended period of time?'

Byng thought about that, ultimately agreeing with Shayla that Coye's presence probably wouldn't have made up for Auguris being there as well.

"In any case, I shall leave you to your recovery." Auguris turned to the door and started to walk away. He stopped before his hand met the door. Something compelled him to look back at the boy who defeated him and he lingered for a moment before saying, "you know. I don't often admit that I'm wrong. Often, I won't ever even concede the possibility and it takes a swift fist to the face worth of evidence to convince me otherwise. I'm grateful you had what it takes to prove me wrong about you, Coye. I look forward to working with you."

He continued looking at Coye, wanting some form of acknowledgment for his difficult admission. Coye gave him one by way of a manly nod of respect, which Auguris returned in a much more socially awkward way. He craned his neck out too far and Bob to the entire thing rather than nod, but as weird as it was he got the intention across.

Satisfied, Auguris opened the door and was about to leave but discovered the way is blocked. "Aha. You have more visitors, Coye."

Coye's excitement perked up, his immediate guess was that maybe Dorothy and Tammy dropped by, but what he heard next was almost as good.

"Rock wizard!?" Coco barked from outside the cabin. "Rock wizard is here to finish the job! Coco will protect-"

Auguris drew his wand from his sleeve and summoned the wall of earth in front of Coye's door, preventing the guest from attacking.

"Down, girl. They're not fighting anymore." Marlie pointed out, her voice sounding huskier than usual.

"Looks like you didn't have to wait till tomorrow for you to get so popular, huh, short-stuff?" Byng scooted closer to Coye now that other females were approaching. It was just a Gengaggi instinct that she couldn't fight against.

'Better hope no one rips that blanket off,' Shayla teased.

"Shall I let them in?" Auguris asked.

"Yeah, that's fine." Coye smiled at his new visitors, excited to see them after everything that had happened. "Come on in."
