January Update (Patreon)

Happy New Year one and all! We hope everybody enjoyed the holiday season and you, like us, are gearing up for a great 2023.

We thought, going forwards, people may like to know what to expect from us so here is a January update about the channel as a whole and our individual projects.

USC AND PATREON

The changes to the channel and tiers have been implemented and we are currently figuring out the transition. We've yet to update our goals and there's still some new tiers and rewards to come too. Keep an eye open for those!

We've had second thoughts about changing the name from Untitled Side Channel to purely USC because there are already too many USCs on YouTube. We'll still use the abbreviation for shorthand but the name will, for now, remain Untitled Side Channel.

This month's movie watch-along will be hosted by Lucas and will be the first movie in the MCU - Iron Man. Lucas will be joined by Karl and possibly Nisha and I. More to come on that soon.

Patron shout-outs and credit will start appearing in videos in the next week or so. We'd appreciate feedback on these as we're trying something a bit different to keep those shout-outs feeling fresh and unique.

FROM BRAD

You can expect more of the same from me; the finale of Drunk Skyrim Guy, some more improv and hopefully a new Brad's Workshop. I was intending to spin the Break Brad series off onto its own channel this month but I think it may be a bit premature so, for now, Break Brad will remain on the USC with a new video releasing soon about the state of Overwatch 2.

You can watch me stream on Wednesdays and Sundays. I usually decide what game to play on the day, with the stream focus being viewer interaction.

FROM NISHA

Nisha will be continuing with her current video series, including Pet Shops and Nisha's Niche, as well as trying a new type of comedy video revolving around dubbing movies.

Nisha wants to stream more in the coming weeks. She'll be finishing Stray and then branching out into other titles.

FROM LUCAS

For the USC, Lucas is working on the Family Feud video as well as some Pokémon related content.

For anyone who has been wondering what happened to Wiki Weekends, Lucas and Karl intend to spin it off into its very own channel! Keep an eye open for the official launch date in the coming weeks.

Lucas streams Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. He's currently playing Zelda Twilight Princess, God of War: Ragnarok and Pokémon Violet. Also, to celebrate his birthday, we'll all be joining Lucas for a big Fall Guys stream on the 20th January.

FROM KARL

Fact Fiend has entered a new era with Karl editing the videos himself. This more relaxed approach is allowing longer videos with more guest voices.

Karl will also be streaming a variety of games throughout the month on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Friday nights at 8pm, join for Karl's weekly Metal Gear Rising stream with special drinking rules and extreme hype.
