The arcs vary, they can be as little as 50 episodes or over a hundred. Some arcs are really long. Also tatoos have a somewhat stigmatised view in Japan, because they can be associated with the Yakuza gangsters and criminals, Thats why Ussop thought Nojiko might be bad.

You don't have to worry about seeing the title of the episode. That is part of the presentation. If you listen you can hear the music cue the title with fanfare, the music is presenting the title and you're supposed to enjoy the title reveal. They use the title to set up expectations for the episode so that they can defy those expectations. For example this episode is called something like "The Witch of Cocoyasi Village" - and you might wonder "oh it's about a witch?" And then the episode very quickly reveals that Nami is the witch and you'd be surprised and now you wonder what is going on!? This is part of the storytelling. You are "clued in" about a deeper story as the meaning of the title fall into place and the puzzle comes together. The title is not a spoiler because there is no witch. The title represents an idea, a concept about a character set in a bigger, grander story. I'm sure they put a lot of thought in the title like everything about the show, it is part of the details about the presentation of the story.
