I am so happy once again with isak in this episode, who could've guessed that!? not only did he save sana's ass with taking the blame, but he also talked some great sense into her and was so polite about it, while also dropping the bomb that he is the one who started the fight 👀 a little baddie. anyway, noora told sana she has something going with yousef which is just lovely, but sana denied any feelings so I can't wait for that to circle back around and someone has now started a hate account about vilde which simply can't stand! 🩶

Isak's line "When you go looking for hate you find it. And when you find it you start hating yourself." Is SO true, but it had kinda already happened with Sana. She overheard people talking after the fight with Elias&co and Isak&co about how it MUST be because they're Muslim and Isak is gay, and Sana just kinda believed that. She didn't ask her brother, she didn't ask Isak. She just believed the girls she overheard who ASSUMED that must be what it was, and the way they said it made it very clear it was an assumption. And that's kinda what Isak said about finding hate making you hate yourself. It didn't make her hate herself, but it was making her hate her brother. Also with that line. It's very true. Once you're actively on the lookout for hate, that's all you're gonna see. Everywhere. When you're not looking for it, you'll still find it, but not quite as much and hopefully the world will be a little more bearable and you'll be able to see the good in people instead of immediately assuming the worst. And I honestly feel AWFUL for poor Elias! The poor guy. Like, this kid punches one of your best friends, so you hit him back to defend your friend because OF COURSE. Then your sister just starts totally icing you out, turns out the kid is her friend. Oh, and also, turns out your sister thinks you're a homophobe! Like, seriously! Poor Elias! The guy did nothing wrong! 🤣 I also love that Isak took the fall for Sana. Their friendship is seriously one of the best of the show imo. And they clearly feel comfortable with each other, because otherwise they wouldn't have been able to have that conversation. Like, neither one of them looked even a little worried that they might lose their friendship due to that conversation. Neither were worried about offending each other or sugarcoating what they had to say. They just said it. And in a way, they ARE the people in their extended group who can understand each other the best. They both face discrimination just for being who they are, they've both felt out of place in their own friend groups etc... They've also both had those dumb questions asked by friends. Vilde especially for Sana, and Magnus for Isak. And Sana has definitely needed to say all she said for a while. I mean, even her best friends overlook things or make dumb comments or ask the dumb questions. They don't understand a lot of things that are just a regular part of Sana's life. (Which is why it's so important for her to have other Muslim girls to talk to!!) And I think saying it once makes it a little easier to finally be able to say it again. Because I do think the girls need to know. Now, the whole answering the questions thing. I DO think it's important to answer those dumb questions. But I'm also always gonna be totally on the side of it shouldn't be down to people of colour to explain everything to white people. There IS the internet. But the problem with the internet is that not everything on the internet is true. You could end up with those dangerous answers due to clicking on the wrong link. And some people genuinely learn better through talking to people. (I know I do... I really struggle to take information in if it's just something written down...) And some people want more personal opinions/experiences. I do love that reveal that Isak had started that fight though. For some reason no one ever suspects that maybe he started it. But it makes perfect sense! He's EVIL! (Said with love...) He can be such a little manipulator. And he's been known to get in fights (organise them in fact...) And to get jealous. The basketball scene was sweet though. It was good to see Sana have some fun for at least a few minutes in the middle of all the awfulness...

So lovely!! Their friendship is incredible, I’m so happy they were able to have that convo 🩶

Yes yes yes! I totally agree with everything you said here- especially about it not being people of color’s responsibility to educate! It’s absolutely up to the person and I also feel like the big difference is how the question is brought around if that makes sense. Like is it genuine curiosity and wanting to learn more about a person and their culture or religion, whatever the context may be, or is it someone who genuinely doesn’t care ya know? 🩶 Obviously- that’s my viewpoint of it being a white person who hasn’t had these experiences so I’ll never know what that feels like and is 1000% up to those with those experiences

Exactly! The way it’s asked is so important too. Gotta be respectful!
