oh my - Jonas has really done a 180 in my books, I ADORE him in this episode and who would've guessed that he made me cry in this episode!? probably everyone 🤣 there were so many moments to love in this but that conversation at the end with Jonas and how he really just didn't care, takes the cake. he didn't make it a big deal and was just happy to have the information and to listen and give advice. I love him!! I also love that he was checking in on him at the start and I'm SO proud of isak for walking away from even in that moment and giving himself that space and distance to protect himself. and even more proud that he went to the doctor to get some help and followed through on it 😭🩶

this is one of my favorite "coming out" scenes ever because jonas does not even flinch. he doesn't make it a big deal. he treats him normally and that is so beautiful and incredible representation! WE LOVE U JONAS. also the beginning where isak is walking through school listening to music. remember how in ep 2 he told Even that the music he listens to feel tough is usually n.w.a. well now, its music by nas. the music that Even loves. isak heavily refusing to speak to a mental health professional is really sad cause everybody could benefit from talking to a therapist. obviously he's still very prejudiced around anything concerning mental health though. but at least he talks to jonas, so im really proud of him for that. i love how jonas asks if its him cause well... it used to be LOL.

Now you know why we love Jonas so much 😍

absolutely my favorite coming out scene in anything. it just feels so normal and organic. which is a big thing in skam anyway ... i love that julie, the creator and director, lets the scenes linger for so long because it's so close to real life. isak initiating a guessing game is so real too, haha. i love that he was able to find a way to tell jonas that he was comfortable with, and im glad he didnt jump to saying he was gay, just because sometimes it is easier to just focus on the person you like and not necessarily deciding on a label yet. also, i love that jonas guesses it's Even - the way he says it makes me think he's been paying a lot more attention to isak than isak's (and us as an extension of isak) have noticed. he says it with so much care and understanding. that's a real, true fried right there.

I love how in this episode the metaphor of the locker continues where Isak's still slightly struggling to open it when he's talking to Jonas, but despite the slight struggling he does manage to get it open, which is foreshadowing to him coming out to Jonas later in the episode. And speaking of the coming out, this is definitely one of my favorite coming out scenes ever! Just how casually Jonas took all that information in. There wasn't even a moment where he was like “wait, so you're gay then” but instead he just simply accepted it was a guy and kept guessing who it could be, only this time guessing guys instead of girls.

btw! this link has all the text messages translated for this season https://skam-season3.tumblr.com/post/159316762303/season-3-submasterpost i think i told u before that reading the text messages isn't *necessary* because it usually does not give much away but there can sometimes be useful bits of info. if u go to this episodes text messages, u can see that isak said sorry to eskild over text, his mom texted him a bible verse again, and there was actually a group message between isak and the flat (eskild, noora, linn) and linn brings up how she takes sleeping pills which is actually why isak went to the doctor to get some! so thats an example of how these texts can add a bit more context to the episodes. maybe u can start reading out the text messages after finishing the episodes? or u can read them on ur own time (:

Jonas being like - is it me? was sending me. I love him and the way he reacted to isak coming out to him in that moment, it was just stunning!! omg I love that the music he was listening to changed to nas!! totally agree that he would do great talking to a therapist, but talking to Jonas worked out for him in this sense at least! 🩶

I totally agree! the fact that he knew it was even after confirming it wasn't himself speaks volumes to how much he listens and pays attention and he's such a great friend! it really was such a stunning coming out scene and one of the best!! 🩶

Ryann Rodkey

yes! that's what I loved so much! like I knew he wasn't going to care, I'm just so used to seeing people confirm it in that way and be like 'oh cool' or something, but the fact that he just kept thinking about who it could be was so lovely!! 🩶

wait - these are something separate from the show itself?? it's so interesting that points like that wouldn't necessarily be made in the show! I was able to follow easily, but you're right that just adds that little bit extra! I will say..... I have officially finished this season already so I will go back and look into these! 🩶

so how the show worked was that, as ppl have mentioned, each scene was released as a clip. and the clips did not have a schedule. some scenes would take place at 2 am so they would literally release at 2 am! in between clips, they would post text messages in the same manner. some of these text messages would contain info that actually gets brought up in the show. for example, i believe in the next ep Even responds to a text message isak sent. we don’t see isak send the text message but it was actually posted before that clip came out so ppl already knew about the message! yes for sure go and look back at them! omg im so excited to see ur reaction to the last few episodes. hopefully i dont cry too much rewatching them!😭😭

Agree - the big denial "no what? it's not you" because he used to have a crush on Jonas is funny, the way he's overcompensating with his denial!

Isak coming out to Jonas is legit my favourite scene in the entire season. I didn't like how Jonas treated Eva in the first season so wasn't a big fan of Jonas overall, but his response to Isak in this season redeemed him so much as a character. Also really loved the scene with the boys giving Isak advice on what to say to Even in the next episode.
