Hello everyone!

I'm gonna share some thoughts that have come up. The scope of this WWII mod is very large if I let my imagination run wild, so I'd like to tame it a bit before it gets out of hand.

The momentum has slowed down a bit, but that is because I am actively looking to improve my knowledge about the process of 3d modeling. Problem is, I constantly find new insights - and then my previous work looks amateurish to me. For example I recently discovered how Materials work and now the older content doesn't live up to my standard anymore.

Also I've started accepting commissions recently (for example the DP28 in the thumbnail) - this has skyrocketed my 3d studies, however they are very draining and I'm beginning to see why so many mod authors refuse to take commissions.

On another note, I've done some playtesting and am not very satisfied with the gameplay currently:

Somehow NPCs have too much health and don't die in 1-2 hits. This is the first issue I'd like to solve and I have some ideas already.

Second problem is PERFORMANCE. Ideally I'd like big battles with many NPCs running around, but currently that brings my machine down. Mostly because I gave no thought to Optimisation - I only spammed high quality.

From now on - I will work on rebuilding the Faction Replacers to be very efficient - NPCs will have lower poly guns and smaller texture sizes for the uniforms (im thinking 1k instead of 2k). Ofcourse I'll still provide 4k uniforms and proper weapons for Player and Companions.

I ended up committing to the 3d scanned Uniforms for Germans and US. I've done some testing and it feels really authentic and cool! Will also include Cherry-picked old content like the Paratroopers.

So TL;DR: Some New and very Optimised content is coming as I want the bedrock of this mod to be future proof.
