Once again the busybody prudes in congress are resurrecting this terrible bill that will damage or destroy adult media online. And spy on you. What fun!
The end result would be that platforms like Patreon would probably have to kick out adult creators by legal necessity.
You can learn more about it by following the link, and it has a short form to fill out a quick automatic letter to your representatives (if you are an American) to inform them that this bill is not a good idea. It only takes a few seconds, really.

Stop the EARN IT Act to Save Privacy

The U.S. Senate has revived a surveillance bill that would have a lethal impact on privacy, security, and free speech. If Congress passes the EARN IT Act (S.3538), it may become too legally risky for companies to offer encryption services. Instead, they'll be pressured to scan nearly all online content.

Thanks for sharing. Society is losing its mind, and politicians everywhere want to use that to instate total dictatorship. We're living in absolutely horrifying and absurd times.

I wouldn’t put it past Manchin the clown, who would be less than breathing in any other nation throughout history. It honestly is a toss up to who purposed it, but whoever they are needs to be railroaded out of congress. Regardless of political affiliation, they’re all working towards limiting the rights of citizens for profit. The worst offenders are always republicans, but democrats and some independents tend to get caught in this bullshit debate. There shouldn’t be debate. Kill this thing ASAP it shouldn’t even be considered.

They’ll go after adult entertainment that’s “ fringe “, like furry artist, furry art, LGBT+ anything, then start cracking down on less than vanilla things like dating someone without written authorization from male family members. These idiots want total dictatorship over everything they don’t like and do like, disgusting and depraving people of rights liberties and happiness. There is no upside to limiting rights. There is no upside to limiting freedoms or expression. It starts with things like adult entertainment, then it goes to things like adult swim or R rated movies, then it’ll be dating someone, you won’t be able to date someone without expressed written authorization and all this shit. It’s what they want. It typically leads back to Abrahamic religions, at the end of the day. Backwards self hating bullshit which also happens to line the pockets of politicians, so they’ll happily go along with the backwardness just to make a dime or millions. Infuriating. Disgusting. Self hating. I seriously hope what I said never comes to pass, because if it does, and I hope I’m wrong... a lot of people are going to suffer and be targeted. Need I remind everyone, January 6th. They will target minorities and vulnerable groups, if they have the law behind them they’ll do it with no holding back. Stop it before it gets too far along.

Let's keep the partisan mudslinging to a minimum please. We can all agree that this bill is a turd and needs to get flushed.

I noticed fringe communities like furries like going after themselves too, especially in places like Twitter or Discord now: Many of these groups started self destructing in the name of "protecting the children" from whatever dangers they're still hallucinating NSFW content poses. Literally living to see leftist furries acting just as conservative as the far-right they're so scared of over commonplace harmless stuff... can I take even the universe seriously any more?

Likely two senator clowns called Blumenthal and Cotton or something among those lines: I remember them from last time. Those are the political versions of Chris Sevier, the guy who wanted to marry his laptop to prove that gay sex bad.

I probably wouldn't have even known about this if you didn't post this, thanks.
