I spent the past couple days ruminating on this stuff and talking with other artists I am close with. I'm not the only one who has seen a downward slide in revenues not just recently but over the past few years. I'm not the only one who was doing quite well and suddenly find themselves wondering "why is the rum gone?"

So, after looking in detail at payouts in the recent past, in just 3 months, my Patreon revenue has dropped by about $1200 per month. 200, then 300, then 700. This is significant.

I know everyone is broke right now, and I'm not blaming you for needing to trim the fat and take care of your own stuff. Art is a luxury expense. I'm optional even in the best of times.

I'm not going to delude myself and declare none of it is my fault either-- my life has changed significantly over the past few years and things I once had all day to devote to have had to make way for things more vital; caring for a growing farm with a growing population of livestock. Unfortunately it has made it difficult to connect and keep in touch with all of you, and I think that is one of the biggest complaints I received when I asked you what you think are impediments to your future patronage.

I've never been a people person, it takes a lot for me to be even the least bit social even on the internet. I am a classical stoic hermit. So, that part I don't know if I can change. I will attempt to be more "around" but it's tough putting on that mask when there are people clamoring for my attention and I simply do not have the time I would like to give them.

Many solutions to this problem were brought up and so many seem to conflict with each other. BUT the one thing I can do, in the hopes it works, is to drop the prices of the tiers a bit and see what happens. The purchasing power of the dollar is half what it was a couple years ago and reducing the prices will require double the customers to make that up so I could well be quartering my already halved income by doing this. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

You shouldn't have to do anything. IN THEORY when I change the tiers, the pricing will simply go into effect on the next cycle. I will also be reducing the cost of monthly subscriptions on Sexyfur.

I don't want to quit making art because I love doing it, despite the decades of thankless backhanded drama, jealous slander, theft, plagiarism, furries ruining everything and biting the hands that feed them, etc. YOU few people of quality and your support has made it worth it.

If you can, spread the word that we have a decent community of civilized people here and quality art that comes from it. Maybe, hopefully, we can turn it around.

I understand your problems, and honestly, if the price per tier drops, there's a chance I may up my tier. I lowered it as I recall because I was fired from one job and took me two months to get a new one.

I mean, honestly you want a way forward? I got an idea. Make your patreon a discount machine to sexyfur, with higher tiers giving higher discounts, measured against the actual cost of a subscription to sf. Still release content on patreon, mostly teasing except for one patreon-exclusive spicy pic a month. Less overt content on patreon, more overt content on sf, with patreon devoted to more suggestive vs sexual content, and making the primary function of your patreon more geared towards poles. That's just how I'd do it
