Should I have only one Tier? (Patreon)

As I posted here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/22346248 Patreon is updating their site, so in November, people in Tier 1, who decided to pledge more (and until now that allowed them to see all tiers), will only be allowed to see things in Tier 1. I think they're making things more confusing for Creators and for Patrons.

So since one of my original ideas for Patreon was to have only one Tier, so people could pledge whatever they wanted or could, to be allowed to be part of the community. I'm thinking on doing this for now on. All patrons will be able to see ALL content, and pay what they see fit or they can afford. This way will make things easier for me, and for all of you.

But because of this, since ALL new patrons will be able to see everything, and I've dealt in the past with users that used a fake account to become a patron, to later disappear without their $1 pledge, I'll make a small change so NEW patrons will be charged up front, this is the day they become patrons. This won't have any affect to my current patrons.
