I’ve finished Anubis (99%) and I’m now doing the final re-writes. I have a couple of chapters I have to overhaul but other than that I should see the light at the end of the tunnel (I hope) sometime soon. I know this has taken a while and I apologize but there is so much I have to check and triple check to make sure I don’t lose track of or mix up.

Anyhow., I hope it turns out to be worth the wait.

Here’s a deleted scene that I edited out when I took the story in a different direction: I don’t know if it will reappear in a later book or something similar, I’ll have to see.

This excerpt will be in the newsletter tomorrow

"Three distinct waves of emotion, so unique they left a tactile sensation sliding under his skin. He knew who they belonged to without even thinking about it.

Footsteps approached and Reese didn’t even need to look up to know who it was. The Mah’s emotions, an undertow of aggression and arousal, clawed at Reese’s nerves. Fractured thoughts of what should have been nightmare images but instead left his insides on fire.

The arms of Reese’s chair creaked, heat boxed him in, and the scent of earth filled his lungs.

“You want to know how many times I fucked Noal fantasizing about your scent?” The heated words brushed Reese’s cheek.

He met Craige’s gaze and the man grinned flashing pointed canine teeth.

“Get out of my face.”

“You sure that’s what you want?” Craige leaned close enough to brush his lips against Reese’s ear. “Or would you rather I bend you over the table and breed you till you can’t stand.”

Reese watched himself pinned down, his ass cheeks spread, thick cock stretching his hole. He shoved back the barrage of thoughts.

Green flickered in Craige’s eyes and Reese bared his teeth. He didn’t care how ridiculous he looked.

Because it didn’t matter. And it didn’t matter because this Mah, this male, was beneath him. He wasn’t worthy of breathing the same air as Reese.

“Get the fuck out of my face before I bite part of it off.” Reese had no idea where the rage inside him came from. Hell, he’d refused to punch back when bullied at school by kids no bigger than himself, whereas Craige outweighed Reese by at least a hundred pounds of muscle.

A growl vibrated in Craige’s chest and shifted his weight making it impossible to not see the fat bulge in his black cargos.

“Just say the word, Dr. Dante and I’ll give you anything you want.”

“Promise?”

Craige’s teeth lengthened ringing his gums in blood. “Yeah, I promise.”

Reese tipped his offering Craige a nice long look at his throat.

All the Mah’s attention shifted to Reese’s shoulder.

Reese shoved himself forward latching onto the shell of Craige ear. He yelled and pulled back. Reese followed him to his feet before pulling away.

Rivulets of blood cut trails down Craige’s cheek. He put his hand to the side of his head where a good half of his ear was missing.

Then Reese realize where that half was and the horror of what he’d done slammed down on him.

He spit, leaving a chunk of ear cartilage with a glob of blood on the floor.

“I’m…” Reese stumbled back. “I’m sorry, I…” He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. More blood. Craige’s blood. The flavor was both nauseating and delicious.

A deep snarl grabbed Reese’s attention.

“Think I was fifteen the last time I came in my pants.” Craige sucked the blood from his fingers.

Nole rushed from the kitchen and grabbed Craige by the arm. “What are you doing? Johnathan will—.”

Craige swept the Delta aside like he meant nothing. Then Nash was there one hand on Craige’s throat and pinning him to the nearest wall. His face darkened from red to purple.

Black joined the flow of crimson seeping from under Nash’s fingers.

The thread of excitement running through Reese repulsed him into retreating until his hip hit the dining room table hard enough to knock off plates of food. Shattering glass was lost under the barrage of shouts.

“Dr. Dante.” Luca’s calm tone cut through it all. “Are you okay?”

Johnathan came through the front door with Seung. Her betas descended the stairs.

They all kept space between themselves and Nash who had his entire hand buried in Craige’s throat. It would only take one twist of his wrist to snap Craige's spine and remove his head.

Reese covered his mouth because he feared what would come out.

“Nox,” Luca said. “Nox, stop. That’s enough.”

Nash Kelli slowly turned his head. Nothing human remained in his expression.

Luca walked over and took Nash by the wrist, without even acknowledging the rush of blood. “Please let him go.”

The way Luca spoke left Reese wondering who he addressed. The man, or the Anubis.

Nash opened his hand. Craige crumpled to the floor. Blood bubbled through the holes in his neck and mouth. Luca led Nash far enough away for Johnathan and *** to grab Craige and drag him outside to the porch.

Wow! This is incredible. I hope you find a place for it someday. Please do not feel as though you must apologize. You create at the pace you create. There is no way to demand your muse especially if you are like me and deal with mental health issues. It happens when it happens. Take care.
