Yulia got in touch with me. YAY. She's okay. Apparently she went to take care of her grandmother on behalf of her parents but no one bothered to tell her they no longer had internet in the area. Now she's home and back online. 

It's so easy to forget how accessible the internet is here in the states until you talk to people in other countries. Some only have it in spotty areas, some still have to pay per min (yes when the internet was young you paid per min, like $3.50 per minute). And then there are a lot of countries where everything is filtered and blocked. 

Hopefully that won't happen here, ever.
