Super Night Riders 2016

This month also marks the 7th anniversary of its initial release on Steam.

I've updated it on Steam & Xbox - including a bit more time in the "Course 1 To 6" race - as requested by many players. This achievements was unlocked by only 8.4% of all players on Steam before the update.

This was the occasion to implement the "Special Thanks" screen on the Steam version, as the previous update was published before this Patron tier was added 😅

Still working on the PS4 update, that will also add PS5 support at 4K 60 FPS 🙀

Last but not least, I'm also working on a Nintendo Switch port 😁

It's mostly done now and should release in around one month at $4.99.

Here's a native screenshot in handheld-mode. Dock-mode runs at a higher resolution.

This Switch version have a new option: Performance Mode. Choose between 60 FPS with less visual effects, or 30 FPS with the best image quality.

I plan to add this option in my future (and old) console releases - including the Light Fairytale series - that was locked at 30 FPS on PS4 & Xbox One, yet 60 FPS should be totally possible by disabling raytraced reflections.

So, after the cancellation of the PlayStation Vita version, it will finally be possible to play Super Night Riders 2016 on the go 😁 Well, other than on all those x64 handhelds 😅

Which brings me to another anniversary, the PS Vita is 11 years old this month in Europe 😁

I've released my 1st game "Night Riders" on it even before neko.works was a thing 😅

Then, I've started the work on "Project Light" - now known as Light Fairytale 😋

Unfortunately, I stopped supporting it after closure of the PSM indies program 😢

Also updated Night Riders & Retro Road on Android with proper support for recent phones.

Light Fairytale Episode 3

As planned, I've implemented a new location: The Railway Tunnels.

This is a mini-dungeon that can be played with one of your 4 partners at this point of the story. The cutscenes will change depending on the partner.

Implemented a new gameplay feature: The flashlight, activate it anytime by pressing R1, similarly to the A.R. Glasses with L1.

What's Next

Next month, I should release Super Night Riders 2016 on Nintendo Switch worldwide 😁

Though, I'll focus on Super Night Riders S1 as I didn't progress much this month on the actual game. I'll probably publish the 1st teaser trailer too.

I'll also work on the 1st completely new town in Light Fairytale Episode 3: Hydropolis - where one important event will occur 😗

Anyway 😅 That's it for this month 😁
