Hi everyone! Here's what I've been working on this past month 😉

Light Fairytale Episode 2

My focus this month was the port of Episode 2 on Nintendo Switch.

It's now complete and currently in certification. Here's a native screenshot in handheld mode.

I was planning to update the other console versions but the project files are locked to the Switch version - to be able to make new builds fast if required by Nintendo, so I'll have to wait for the ROM to pass certification first.

Anyway, it will be soon possible to play Episode 2 on a handheld, including the encounter with the mysterious girl - that I've prototyped on PlayStation Vita many years ago 😅

Light Fairytale Episode 3

The good news is that I was able to work on Episode 3 while waiting for the certification 😁

So as promised in the previous DevLog, here's the first screenshot of Episode 3: The entrance to the Water Elemental Lair.

This is an underwater cavern that you can only reach with a submarine - visible on the left.

And here's the character sheet sketch of Saki, one of the new main characters in Episode 3.

Finally, here's 2 concepts of the new cities in Episode 3.

Fanart

As seen on Twitter, a really nice fanart of the general by YANA. I love fanart 😊

One of my weakness as an illustrator is structure / proportions. So I've been experimenting with making Anime-style illustrations by using 3D models as a base.

Here's a quick test: Alice from Super Night Riders using her new in-game 3D model.

Bonus

Here's the Light Tower, the final dungeon of Light Fairytale in Episode 4.

It's this month's 4K+ wallpaper, in a vertical format for a change 😁

What's Next

Next month, I should prepare the release of Episode 2 on Switch. The certification by Nintendo is taking more time than planned, so the release will probably happen in August.

I'll also update Episode 2 on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation with all the latest improvements from the Switch version.

Though, my focus now is Episode 3, so I should make good progress and showcase a few more shots next month 😁

And that's it for this month!

Again, thank you very much for your continuous support. See you next month 😊
