Hi everyone 😊 It's time for the last DevLog of the year 😁

Super Night Riders S1

I've worked a bit more on this remake.

Here's a comparison between the 3 generations of Night Riders: 2013, 2016 and... 2022 😉

And here's a few new work-in-progress screenshots.

Nintendo Switch

I've finally received my devkit 😁

My first experiment was porting Super Night Riders S1. So here it is - running pretty well 😊

But I've actually spent most of this month porting Light Fairytale Episode 1 to the Switch.

It's currently playable, but there is quite a bit of work left, including implementing a bigger font/UI - as the current one is way too small for its 6.2" screen.

The good news is that these improvements will also benefit to the Steam Deck - that I also plan to fully support 😊

Sales

All of my games are currently discounted on both PlayStation and Steam.

If you're missing a game or DLC, now is your chance to get them up to 75% off 😁

Bonus

2021 is over. For me, it was the year of Light Fairytale Episode 2 - as I released it for the very first time on Steam Early Access in May, followed by the full release in August, and the console ports - PS4 and Xbox One.

So, this month's wallpaper is a chibi illustration of Ayaka & Haru in the snowy Deeplands - the set of LF Episode 2 😊

What's Next?

I'll continue working on the Switch port of LF Episode 1 - hopefully for a release in January.

I'll then update the Steam version with full support for the Steam Deck - just in time for its release in February.

For 2022 as a whole, I'll probably also release LF Episode 2 on the Switch and Deck in Q1.

I should also release SNR S1 - on 4 platforms this time, around Q2.

I'll then be working on LF Episode 3 - with a 6 months delay due to the Switch ports and the work on SNR S1.

Unfortunately these ports and side releases are required for funding the year - as the revenues from LF Episode 2 have been underwhelming.

It would have been very difficult to fund the development of LF Episode 3 and also cover my personal costs with just my released projects so far.

Also, I can only expect the revenues from LF Episode 3 to be even lower, as this is a linear series. So, working on side projects is vital - even though this will cause delays on the LF series.

Still, I'll do my best to complete this series. I believe it will be totally worth it in the end 😊

Again, thank you so much for your continuous support for all this time.

Happy new year 😋

Shame ep.2 didn't sell as well when it's a definite improvement over ep.1. Curse of a linear episodic story series I guess, as you've mentioned. I hope your other projects bring in enough for you to keep going. Fight-o.

I’m sad to see how it was an underwhelming sell. It’s possibly one of the better indie games I’ve played in a while. I’ll do my best to push it and try to get some more light on everything for you!
