Oooooh! What a treat. Such a classic movie. Don’t forget about Rocky 4

Connor Fallon

Oh man, this movie is a classic and so fun! I constantly quote this movie. Glad you guys saw this one!

Cody Price

There is actually a Willy Wonka prequel, Wonka, coming out Dec 15th in theaters

Shutter Crazy

Love the reaction of these classics! Next ones should be 12 Angry Men and Sound of Music

Love this movie and especially the music ("Pure Imagination" is wonderful and even though I hated it as a kid, I've grown to appreciate "Cheer Up Charlie"). You guy should check out the theory about how Grandpa Joe is the villain of the story (there are YouTube videos) which are entertaining to say the least.

Patty Estrada

A classic, nice choice. Gene Wilder was great as Willy Wonka.

Amber, I'm going to suggest "Pans Labyrinth" again. Directed by Guillermo Del Toro, who's work has been characterized by a strong connection to fairy tales and horror, with an effort to infuse visual or poetic beauty in the grotesque. It's one of his Spanish films, but maybe you and Jordan would be interested in reacting to a foreign movie :-) The movie is a mixture of fantasy and the real world, so there will be some heaviness to it...so don't put it on your list of feel good easy to watch movies lol.

What a wonderful, fun, heartfelt reaction, Amber and Jay. I'm so glad you liked this one. Willy Wonka is such an interesting character. I've always loved him. And I might be the only one this happens to but, when Wonka says, "Don't forget what happened to the man who got everything he ever wanted. He lived happily ever after," I always cry a little. There's something about the way he delivers that line that makes me emotional. If I may make a recommendation, I'd love for you to watch the remake with Johnny Depp. Watched on its own, it comes across as a little too out there, but watched after seeing this one, it makes a lot more sense, and there are some things that are even improved. Among other things, the remake gives Wonka's backstory and personality even more depth. Plus, Depp's interpretation of Wonka is a delight, but it works better when you see this one first because you can see the origin of a character that only gets bigger and more wild in the remake. I believe it's from Tim Burton, who directed Edward Scissorhands, which means it has his signature quirkiness. Willy Wonka with a Tim Burton touch is just wonderful. Oh, except that the remake is called Charlie and the Chocolate factory.

Gene Wilder is amazing in Young Frankenstein. He and Mel Brooks created that one, and it is hilarious and a great tribute to the early Universal Frankenstein movies. It was even shot in black and white. It's funnier if you've seen the first few Frankenstein movies because they take so much from them, but it's really good on its own too! Maybe around Halloween, keep that one in mind!

Great reaction guys boy does this take me back I think this was the first move I ever saw in a theatre. Sammy Davis Jr. released a single of the song Candy Man that actually spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard hot 100 chart in the summer of 1972. It became one of Sammy’s signature songs for the rest of his career and Sammy’s version totally blows away the version sung in the movie. You should definitely react to it on the music channel.

Aimee

Tim Burton’s version is closer to the book, also. Ronald Dahl was an…interesting…man, lol.

Raven Dark

Oh, that's interesting! I just thought it was his usual wacky madness at work. LOL

Keyuana Gray

This movie is a definitely a childhood favorite for me. I loved the reaction. FYI I don't know if you have a Yardhouse Steakhouse in your area but they have a Gobstopper shot that is delicious that you should try at least once

Gene Wilder is the ONLY Willy Wonka in my eyes. And it's funny that you mentioned "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory" at the end of your review, since this movie is based on the book "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory." :)
