I just want to say that I really enjoyed reading the above conversation that a bunch of you had about violence in movies. It's lovely to see people with different viewpoints having a mature discussion and not "coming to blows", so to speak. If you don't mind me butting in a little, I'd like to add my two cents. I'm not into slasher flicks or especially violent films, but I do still watch them from time. The movies/shows that I really have a hard time with are the ones that are relentlessly grim. The first thing that springs to mind as an example is the Game of Thrones. I read the first three novels, but I had to take multiple breaks from them because the story was mostly horrible things happening to people nearly all of the time, (and most of the characters were awful people as well). Stories like this tend to have a tangible negative effect on my mental state that I don't enjoy, so I often avoid them, and it is why I haven't had any desire to see the GOT t.v. show. As far as the Godfather is concerned, I think it would be a good movie for Amber and Jay to view, but they'll probably want to have something lighthearted to watch as a follow-up.

There’s a movie I really want to suggest to you. I really don’t know how popular it was when it came out. But it’s a really good movie and it’s got a really interesting plot and I think you would enjoy it. Actually, there are two movies I want to suggest. The first one is called frequency. It’s stars Dennis Quaid as the main character and it’s about a father and son, who can communicate across time via the fathers ham radio. The sun is in the future, and his fathers in the past. The second movie is called August Rush. I’ve actually suggested this before. I don’t think it was a very popular movie. But it’s a really good one. It’s all about music and the love of music and I think you would appreciate it.

I had forgotten all about Frequency. Great suggestion.
