Like you say, he has to hit rock bottom. They have enabled him for far too long. Merely by accepting his argument that the pills are for the pain. Well, in part, it will be for the physical pain. 🤔 Or does that argument loose even minor credence when we have seen him live his life fully detoxed. During that time however, he fixated on exercise. Replacing one high for another. When that no longer provided the buzz, he went back to the pills. He will seek to numb the pain any way he can. But it clearly isn't physical pain. Because he is a great Doctor and is a status provider for the hospital. They balance the books on positives out weighing negatives. Until he's out of control and now they want to help him. But by engaging in his games and continually try to out manoeuvre him. Always better to work on defusing the bomb before it goes off. They daren't take away being a Doctor from him, as he has nothing else. It's a total 'shitshow' 🫤
