Also, even though Chuck "trusts" Sarah, trust is a difficult thing when she's constantly under direct orders from someone higher up. She can't easily defy those orders, and unless Chuck just wants to be a punching bag for the CIA and NSA, he's bound to actually do something. I'm the opposite of frustrated when Chuck tries to do something by himself. I'm relieved, because it shows a side of him I want to see more of! And I understand how you find it frustrating. Especially with the back and forth on the "trusting", but this feels... different? Let's say Chuck told Sarah everything. He would be selfish in doing so, because it would put Sarah in a very difficult situation. She could risk losing her job and going to jail if they found out she knew. I really don't see this as a situation of miscommunication. More of a situation where they kind of have their hands tied behind their back,
