I'm so glad your have a high opinion of this show and i agree that it is one of the best ever. Obviously its not one of the biggest shows out there like Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones, but considering this is supposed to be a procedural show and what they did with it around the whole procedural thing is simply remarkable, the pacing through the seasons, characters coming and going throughout multiple seasons, the plot, simply everything about this show is so good. Almost every opinion on the internet about this show is that it is so awesome and so underrated, and i cant really explain why it never went super mainstream, it must be based on where it aired and how it was marketed i would assume. And i think everyone here is super glad you're rewatching this with Kim, hopefully you will start soon after you finish the show so we arent without our favorite characters for long :D

I think it never was super popular because when it started it was basically just another procedural show in a big sea of other shows the same. I mean S1 was ok, S2 was better, but it didn’t get great until S3, imo.
