I am SO glad you like Alex so much! It's always nerve-wracking when a new character is brought into a show like this, because they have to be their own person, while also working well in the group. And especially when replacing a character like Emily who is so beloved. Alex is just amazing and it is such a relief that you love her. Yeah, that last scene is ADORABLE! Henry is so cute! And him dressing as Spencer is so sweet! His favourite Profiler! Aaw! <33 I get what you mean about Emily. She's OF COURSE missed, we all love her. But Alex is just such a great replacement that it doesn't feel like there's a huge hole in the team where Emily used to be. Like, Alex won't fill that hole completely as Emily is someone they all love and we all love, but she makes it more bearable. I don't feel Emily's absence too much either. I love her, but it doesn't feel like it did at the end of S6 when she was gone. Or the whole of S6 when JJ was gone. It feels more natural. Could partly be because they don't all think she's dead now... And it felt more like a closure. With S6 it was left with us knowing she'd faked her death, so we were always waiting for her return, it's different now.
